I am an actress that has performed and taught for over 35 years. I love it! I can help you prepare for auditions, study structure, develop skills, get over fears of speaking in public or simply reach a deeper understanding of your favorite texts. As for teaching voice-acting for voice-overs, I have extensive experience both as a VO performer and private coach/teacher with students who are currently working as well as those who are aspiring to become professionals. I am currently recording audiobooks. Each actor/talent has his or her own unique voice. It is my job to help each student find their own path while teaching them the skills nessesary to succeed in whatever their goals may be. I am happy to share my expertise with beginners as well as seasoned veterans who need to brush up on their skills or prepare for an upcoming audition. Regards, Corliss

I initially had Corliss as a voice over teacher in a class, then decided to further my work with her as a coach and producer to create my voiceover demos. We covered all aspects of voiceover, including the physical: posture, microphone placement, etc., which I believe really enhanced my understanding of how physicality comes across via the voice. With her classical acting background, she was able to help me improve my overall speaking technique and provided me with vocal exercises to help minimize my regionalisms. She was diligent in reviewing competitive demos to guide me to a variety of written copy and voice/energy levels that will help my demos stand up to those with more experience. She provided valuable advice regarding selection and use of materials for the demo and beyond as well as insights on the voiceover business. I’m very pleased with the results of the two demos and expect to continue to take advantage of her coaching services as I grow in my new career.

Corliss is a master at her craft! She makes you feel comfortable from the moment you meet her and has a genuine interest in your goals. Corliss tailored lessons to my learning style which was very encouraging for someone with my level of experience. She has a lovely personality and her enthusiasm is infectious. I would highly recommend taking lessons from Corliss!

    Teacher's studio
I took a five-session Beginning Voice Acting class with Corliss in a professional recording studio. The critiques she gave me after every recording I made helped me to speak more clearly, and to increase the energy I was able to put into my recorded presentations. Without the critiques of my recordings, I would not have been able to improve my speaking ability. During the class, she made sure everyone in the class was made to feel welcome, and important. When I take the next level of the Voice Acting class series, I will be looking forward her critiques of my recorded presentations.
