I'm a versatile guitarist with 8 years of teaching experience ranging from the elderly to the very young and everything in between. 

My philosophy is to inspire the student. Growing up, I quit various instruments because my teachers failed to give me the tools that I needed to go home and have fun practicing. Giving the student these tools, no matter their age or experience level is my number one goal.

My name is Ben, and I can't wait to start playing guitar with you. I have been playing since age 14, and teaching since age 18. Most of professional experience is as a jazz guitarist, but I have spent a good part of my career playing rock, funk, blues, and folk. Whatever your style and experience is, I would love to work with you to make you a better guitarist and musician. My number one goal is to inspire the student by giving them tools to start having fun in the practice room as soon as possible.

As a complete beginner, I found that Benjamin was great to work with.  He was able to introduce me to the basics and tailored the lessons to help me grow.  Would definitely recommend him!

Ben is very talented and very knowledgeable.  He was open to covering whatever I was looking to do and has helped me learn some of the basics of soloing on an electric guitar (maj/min scales, pentatonic scales, arpeggios, etc.).  Ben has a nice setup in his apartment for lessons and I would recommend him as an instructor.

Had a great first lesson and I highly recommend Benjamin. I have played guitar on and off for years, but I'm currently lost on my journey. I feel like I am back on the right path and I am excited to play again! The lesson was a good mix of basics, coordination exercises and learning one of my favorite songs! Benjamin is a joy to work with!  As an musician he is extremely talented and inspiring.  As a teacher he is patient and has the ability to create a lesson plan based on the needs of his student.
