    I am an educator with over 24 years of working with adult learners. I have a PhD in general psychology with research in solution focused education. social construction of knowledge, team development and training, integrative complexity, as well as burnout and work-life balance. I am a coach specializing in relationship and individual coaching and specializing in body image development and self awareness. I have extensive education in marriage and family therapy, career counseling, and testing and assessment. My interests, in addition to the specialty mentioned above, include virtual workers work-balance issues, couples communication, improving intimacy between partners, self-awareness, and meditation and visualization. I have many years of experience working with students developing writing skills, moving beyond the grammar and mechanics to form their own scholarly voice. I specialize in supporting doctoral students and master's level students working toward dissertations and theses. I have 20+ years of public speaking experience and helping individuals hone their speaking skills. I can help you develop confidence even when you may have a fear of getting up in front of people.

    When I attended class in Psychology it was in the curriculum that I did not think that I needed at the time. My thoughts were I'm taking Network Engineering, Why on Earth would I want to take Psychology? When I made to Class, It was a diverse group with extremely opposing views. you could feel the tension in the air. Then Dr. Harris commenced with the lessons, The tension dissolved. The learning began and with her expertise( I like everybody in the Class I guess.) Began to come out of our shells. (Sort of Speak) Needless to say I was and still am impressed with the whole experience. Dr. Harris takes great pride in her work and it shows. Dr. Harris character is that of a kind and gentle person with a high degree of education. This made the lessons easy to gasp ( Wrap my head around) The education and knowledge that Dr. Harris taught will hang with me for a life time. Information that is Solid and useful, That I still use today. I will most definitely recommend Dr. Harris to individuals, community or Industry and or Military for her knowledge and expertise are so very valuable.

    Dr. Harris is an amazing instructor. She had inspired me as not only a student but had me thinking deeper into myself wondering what I really wanted to do with my life. She is an inspiration and she is a wonderful instructor. I remember the first day that I had a class with her, I was so nervous and she knew exactly how to get everyone comfortable. Dr. Harris has seen her students go through a lot during her time at Virginia College and possibly at the other schools that she has taught at. She knew exactly what to say and how to say it just to get them through and always encouraged her students to do better for themselves and always reminded them that although it may be tough we could get through it. I really enjoyed her as an instructor and I would recommend her to anyone for her to spread her knowledge across to them.

    Dr Alycia has a natural gifted talented skills in asking powerful well adjusted and tailored questions that either you like it or not, you will find yourself within the first five minutes of the session, freeing your mind whilst connecting your soul to digging deeper into flourishing the tangible solutions to your queries you come up with into any kind of topic you would like to raise for your coaching session. She knows how to empower people to the extent of deeply summarizing the content of the coaching session so that you may stay with tangible fulfilling SMART goals you have yourself established during the session. I do emphasize and recommend of not taking for granted my words, just give it ago and you may describe her coaching more than I do now as I find myself speechless even not giving the ideal wording that matches her well versed sharpened Coaching skills. . Once again, just get in touch with Dr Alycia's Coaching Services if you are truly concerned and willing to surface all those solutions within and from your inner soul. My rating is: 'Best Instructor Ever.'
