Saxophone with Allena A.

I have experience starting in high school with my section as section leader and concert leader. I led sectional rehearsals every day for marching band and often for concert band. I helped other students in private practice as well who went on to succeed in regional competitions. I studied under Dr. Nathan Nabb at Stephen F. Austin State University for a year and a half. Dr. Nabb guided me to understand professional performance on the saxophone and widely expanded my knowledge of the instrument. For reference, Dr. Nabb earned his masters in performance from acclaimed saxophonists Dr. Frederick Hempke and Dr. Debra Richtmeyer. During me time there I was in the position as section leader of the Jazz band and led sectionals as well as helped my peers who were in saxophone methods classes. My fellow studio members and I often helped each other in practice and gave advice for improvement as well. I currently reside in Denver and desire to get back into teaching and learning about music.
