TakeLessons.com Instructor since 2005, Jason M. is now available for online lessons worldwide featuring multiple-camera angles and a share screen experience leaving no stone un-turned!
Jason has been playing guitar for over 15 years and teaching music since 1996. Although trained in standard teaching methods, he has developed his own method of teaching to positively enhance the students strength, dexterity, ear-training, memorization and techniques. His goal as a teacher is specifically designed to help you achieve your goals as an artist and a musician.
This year Jason was also the M
usic Director at the National Guitar Workshop Day Jams Rock Music Day Camp where students ages 7-15 came out to form bands, record original material and master their craft. He also taught beginning to advanced guitar/ vocals/ performance and songwriting as hosted a recording clinic at the end of each day.
Jason has host student showcases/charity benefits where his students were able to get on stage and show off their new talent and perform with other musicians. It wasn't mandatory though, if you were just looking to come out and support there was no pressure other than to come out and have fun.
Jason has been transcribing for guitar and bass since the age of 18 and since then has become a master of the craft including both 5 line staff and tablature, hand-crafted exercises and deconstructions to better enhance the students learning. Artists and genres that Jason has experience with range from Classic Rock, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Guns N' Roses, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Robert Johnson, Pierce the Veil, Paramore, All Time Low, Demi Lava to, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold, The White Stripes, Green Day, Old Crow Medicine Show, Taylor Swift, Mumford and Sons, Bruno Mars, Rob Zombie, John 5, Audioslave, Rage Against the Machine, Van Morrison, the Beatles, AC/DC, ZZ-Top, Bullet For My Valentine, All That Remains, Ozzy, Black Label Society, Sublime, Aerosmith, At the Drive In, Type O Negative, the Black Keys, the Pixies, the Toadies, Black Sabbath, Jason Mraz, Lady GaGa, John Mayer and Journey.
Jason attended the University of Alaska, Anchorage where his degree is in Music and Business. He is constantly continuing his education with music theory courses as well as private guitar instruction. He attends guitar workshops and seminars by artists such as John5 and Kerry King who are known as some of the worlds finest guitar players. He reviews every day from a wide range of over 1000 sources working to become a better musician and instructor.
Another nice feature that you might enjoy from one on one sessions with Jason is learning the ability to craft and record your own songs using state of the art technology that caters to your own unique personality. There are no limits!
Jason teaches all experience levels from beginner to intermediate and advanced as well as artists that are signed to labels.
Local news outlet Fox 5 did a segment with one of his students who overcame issues with ADD and depression as a result of taking guitar lessons.
His students advance quickly, some have released albums, been in Guitar World Magazine as well as its online companion and won awards for their music websites.
*** Lesson Details *** Lessons are scheduled to best fit to the student's schedule when possible. Students receive complimentary audio lessons and transcriptions of songs upon their first or second session. Jason is a very patient instructor and understands that students learn at a different pace, after all everyone is an individual.
'Dr. Cliff,' a part-time college/university professor, teacher and tutor with 5 master's and 3 doctoral degrees in a variety of topics: Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, MBA, Leadership, Education and Administration. He has always used proven educational techniques to instruct undergraduate students, graduate students and school children/teenagers (K-12). In addition, Dr. Cliff is a Certified Tutor by American Tutoring Association and National Tutoring Association (Math); he holds California Teaching Credentials in Math (CSET I,II,III)
, Business (I,II,III), and Educational Technology/Computers (I,II); he is a Sylvan Certified Teacher in Math and Arts/Language K-12.
Dr. Cliff believes that, although many professors and teachers do an admirable job in the classroom, many students and children do not learn well in traditional institutions. Many students and children don't respond to the assembly line nature of most institutions. He believes that a student's or child's strengths and natural abilities need to be the foundation of learning. Dr. Cliff often warns against a "cookie cutter" approach to educating students, teenagers and children. You or your child is seen as an individual, and natural strengths are identified and built upon. Therefore, individual one-on-one tutoring or help is the key approach to each student who has any challenges difficulties in a given subject.
In today’s environment and economic challenges, with shorter budgets for the education, larger classes sizes and pressure of performing well in all kind of standard tests, I often see many students lacking true knowledge and skills in a given subject, since they cannot get individualized attention during the class session. That’s where a tutor comes into the picture, not only uncover major “holes” in students’ knowledge set but also teach students how to study, how to learn and through proper guidance “fill” those knowledge and skills holes.

Hi, I'm Tony. I LOVE bowling. Every aspect of it. Competition, fun, meeting people, and making people better. You know the old saying, "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach" Well, it kind of applies to me. I'm a natural right hander that has to bowl left handed due to injury.
Bowling is a great sport that is even more fun once you can keep the ball out of the gutter, and even more fun as you get better. I'd love to share the journey with you. I typically coach out of La Habra, but can travel within a reasonable distance. Even not so reasonable (for a small fee). I do coach k
ids (USBC background check complete. Here is my bowling bio from the CSULB website:
Tony, was a touring member of the PBA for 5 years, competing in tournaments ranging from Regional tournaments in the West, to majors such as the US Open and the Masters. Among his bowling achievements are 8-300 games and 4-800 series, with his high being 820. Also, a Sanctioned high average of 228. While he did not win a pro tournament, he consistently cashed there, as well as tournaments such as the High Rollers, Mini Eliminator, USBC Nationals, California State Championships, and local association tournaments. Highlights include a 9th place finish in the California State Masters in 2005, 2nd place California State Doubles (1989) and winning titles in the Citrus Belt (one of the largest association tournaments in California) in 1990 (team event), and 2005 (team, doubles, all events). Tony has won too many smaller tournaments to properly list here. Although a wrist injury ended his pro career, he continues to be active in local tournament clubs and charity tournaments. Tony has been a coach since 1994 working with both youth and adults. He gained his US Junior Olympic coaching certifications in 1996, before obtaining his USBC Bronze certification in 1998 He will earn his USBC Silver certification in June of 2015. Tony is also a member of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program, consisting of passing an extensive background check in order to work with youth. He is also a former director of the Orange County Bowling Association.
My name is Tyrone and growing up, I was never good at a lot of things. However, one day, I asked my father to teach me how to play basketball and within a couple of days, I was one of the best basketball players in my neighborhood. This taught me that as long as I worked hard and practiced at something, I could be good at it. This is how I learned to be proficient in many different talents.
Here are the skills that I've learned over the years and am willing to teach you if you wish to learn them:
* Photography Lessons: You will learn about how cameras work, various lighting technique
s to get the perfect shot, themed photo shoots, event photography, portrait photography, studio vs. on location photography, etc.
* Basketball Lessons: You will learn the fundamentals of how to play basketball, as well as skills that help you become a skillful basketball athlete such as dribbling, shooting, passing, defense and fitness.
* Rap Music Lessons: You will learn the writing skills of a rap artist, which will include poetry techniques, knowledge of hip hop music and history, various terms regarding the structure of a rap song, as well as how to perform a rap song, either on stage or in a studio.
* Magic Lessons: You will learn various techniques on how to perform magic tricks and most importantly, how to create your own. I specialize in card magic, but can also teach you other skills with more items.
* Poetry Lessons: You will learn how to write poetry using various poetry techniques and studying some of the most well known poets in history. You will also learn how to perform these poems and the rhythm in which way would be best to deliver your overall poetic message.

Hello there! My name is Ralph and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance! I'm a mixed genre musician with over thirteen years of experience both on and off the stage. I have little to no experience with guitar, but Ralph makes it very easy to get started and I began learning technique and chords right away. He clearly has a passion for music, but also experience in teaching others to play. He's not only compassionate and understanding for the difficulties you face as a beginner, but is also ready to challenge you and keep you motivated when learning gets frustrating. You'll progress quickly with him as your teacher.
