Being a brass player myself, I have taught hundreds of students the art of playing the trumpet in school bands over the years. Some have even gone on to teach music themselves!
Originally from Chicago, I attended Chicago Musical College for 2 years before moving to Calif. and receiving my B.A. in music from Cal. State Northridge. I also have an M.A. in Education from there. I have been a band director in public schools for over 40 years. My bands have won over 50 1st place awards in music competitions. I have been playing keyboard professionally since the age of 14. Hello! I am a pianist and composer currently living in Thousand Oaks California. I am offering lessons in Thousand Oaks and in the Santa Monica area of Los Angeles. I am a graduate of Cal State Northridge's Media Composition Program. My dream is to be a film composer and I spend much of my free time creating and producing music. I have been teaching piano for over five years, and have taught students ranging from age 5-85.
