Very understanding teacher. My 13 year old thinks he is awesome. He said he's going to help my son learn to play Star Wars.

Was very impressed with Peter's methods, demeanor, patience with my 9 year-old daughter, who is a beginner at piano. She had some experience at reading music, and Peter was adept at recognizing this and 'pushing the envelope' a bit with her and she responded enthusiastically. She left every lesson with a smile on her face.
Cameron S. Ansonia, CT

About Cameron

STUDYING WITH ME: Learning guitar should be interesting and fun! While we're studying all the different aspects of the instrument, you'll also be learning how to play your favorite songs and solos! I approach each student as an individual and structure their lessons according to what I determine they need, as well as what they are interested in musically. I concentrate on many different areas; ear training, theory, playing technique, improvisation, various styles of music, and, the physics of the guitar. Understanding how the instrument works is important in my opinion. My long term goal is to teach a student how they can teach themselves down the line. Understanding why you’re playing something is just important as knowing how to play it. I aim to give a student rich and well ...

A solid teacher with a lot of experience

Cameron is great at tailoring the lessons to my musical taste without compromising the theory, basics and fundamentals.
I have been taking lessons for one year and will not go elsewhere anytime soon. His vast musical knowledge helps merge the theory with concrete examples. No question remains unanswered.

great instructor

I've been taking bass lessons from Cameron for a few months now. He's a great instructor. Very knowledgeable, very patient, and puts in time outside our lessons to be prepared to teach or play new material that I am interested in. I always look forward to my lessons. If you're looking for a good bass or guitar teacher (not sure what else he might teach) Cameron is your guy!

About Paul

With a Master's in Special Education from SCSU in New Haven and a second Master's in Psychology from University of New Haven, I combine Teaching with Counseling to pay close attention to underlying skills deficits so we can go back to the confusing areas that students need "catching up" in before learning anything more, thus avoiding anxiety, such as Math Anxiety. I build strength and confidence so that Math is easy and do-able. I also have a PhD. in Counseling Psychology and I use psychology as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Bodyworker in my home clinic to increase relaxation, but I do not use any Massage Therapy or Psychology in tutoring and teaching. My clinical laboratory medicine experience as MT(HHS) and H (ASCP) bring my Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology academics real ...

"Paul was a competent student garnering high grades in his classes.  Not only did he make every effort to learn the material, he also made every effort to apply the information to the practice of massage.  Paul was always willing to learn different massage techniques and how best to apply a variety of techniques.

Paul is mature, very intelligent, professional and extremely capable.  He has excellent communication skills.  Paul is able to speak with clients about health and massage related issues in a very professional manner.  He is ethical, honest and considerate of his client's feelings and needs.

Paul readily combines the knowledgeable he has gained and is able to tailor the massage techniques to the benefit of his clients with ease.  [Paul's Massage Instructor]" Janis DrakeMS LMT

Greg gives sense to the complex structures of harmony and inversions in an understandable form to which I put towards the progressive style I play. Although not not an adverse guitarist, his musically based theory is roundabout throughout all instrumental playing and has giving me insight to further my development as a musician.
Alexei T. New Haven, CT

I have been teaching students of all ages and skill levels since 2005. My students have ranged from beginners looking to play the piano for fun to professional conservatory students.

How to Improvise on Piano and Keyboard | Exercises for Beginners
Forgo the sheet music and try your hand at improvising! Get started with this exercise from Tucker, GA teacher Linda L...   Improvising, in music, is making up your own music on the spot. But one can definitely improvise in any musical style. There is a lot you can learn when it
