I enjoyed playing piano and electric piano and won the 1st prize at Kitakantou Electric Piano Competition hosted by YAMAHA institute. Because of the intensive training, I have been accompanying my students' recitals and performance exams.
As much as I enjoyed playing piano, I discovered that I also love singing, so I started to take singing lessons and majored in vocal performance during my college days.
Since I have graduated, I have been performing opera professionally. My career highlights include roles as Cio-cio san(Madame Butterfly) with Snob Opera, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Fairy(Falstaff) with Sir B
My international credits include performances under the direction of Conductor Laurent Pillot at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Liverpool, England;the Académie Internationale d'Eté de Nice, France; the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program in Chianti,Italy; the International Vocal Arts Institute in Tel Aviv, Israel where I was selected to sing for the Japanese Ambassador.
I made appearances as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, Town Hall, and MOMA museum in New York City and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
As a versatile singer, I was presented as an aspiring opera singer on the website of Maybelline New York. Her voice was featured in short films for the Japanese technology company NEC. I appeared as a soprano soloist for the opera, Jazz and theater collaboration of "TAKE ABITE" by David Antonio Cruz. I also sings Broadway songs and continues her musical theater studies. She is an active recitalist and also performs Oratorio works.
I was also a finalist at the Opera Idol Competition at Lincoln Center in New York City, The Hariclea Darclée Voice Competition in Romania and the Mario Lanza and Elaine Malbin Vocal Competition in New York City. Ms. Uchida was selected as a vocal scholarship recipient at Savannah music festival.
Her upcoming engagements in 2019 include performing concerts with Philharmonie Teplice, Neubrandenburg, Germany, the title role of Lucia di Lammermoore and a lieder recital with Opera After Hours, New York. Ms. Uchida gave a recital hosted by Russian Cultural Center in Kiev 2019. Asuka is invited to give a recital at Festival dell’arte in Wojanow, Poland in August 2019.
Besides being an opera singer, I have been teaching piano and voice for 11 years. I would like to share my skills and experience with you. Since I perform often, I can coach you how to perform on stage in addition to building solid technique and languages. Also, I have taught various kinds of music, such as Rock, Broadway musicals, Pop music, so we can work on all kind of music.
I look forward to teaching you soon!
*** Lesson Details ***
My students can expect to improve their skills and start to enjoy music more as we work together.
I believe that learning music is fun and enjoyable. However you also need to be serious and focused.
I can demonstrate various and specific techniques, phrasing, and interpretation and will always coach on how to develop your skills. However, I feel it is important for students to think critically on their own and take the first try at solving a problem themselves. I cannot emphasize enough that primarily it is you who find the ways to improve. Leaning music is a collaboration between teachers and students. I hope that through my lessons, students will become more self-sufficient and confident as musicians.
Let me help you become a better musician.

Now with Asuka he feels most comfortable and feels he learns more per lesson with Asuka. More progress with all aspects of voice. She helps prepare for auditions with Broadway vocals and advance on the more serious and challenging Opera selections.
So the actual lessons are great and Asuka is also a charm; engaging and personable. As the parent I very much like she remains a professional singer as her career.
So we are staying with Asuka through the breaks and may even extend into piano lessons as well.
I would recommend Asuka without hesitation.

My tutoring career began in 2011 when I volunteered for Reading Partners, a non-profit organization that assists elementary school students who are struggling with reading comprehension skills. I later applied as a writing tutor for CSU East Bay's Student Center for Academic Achievement (SCAA) and helped college students from many social and ethnic backgrounds polish their essay writing skills. After graduating with a bachelor's in English in 2012, I became an independent contractor with Buddy System Tutoring and helped high school students in the Bay Area improve their writing and study skills.
I earned my teaching credential in 2015 and have four years of experience teaching English to middle and high school students. I have had the pleasure of working w

I am in love with pronunciation! I strive very hard to instill in Learners the proper (over) enunciated sound of a phonics blend, letter sound or word pronunciation for them to hear what it should sound like and with practice, they can hear themselves and thus find their 'English voice'.
I do believe each Learner is seeking to find their 'English voice' and with time, hearing the language, practicing what they hear, and applying by speaking they will acquire their own 'English voice' and not s

I’m 100% positive that I know exactly what it takes to become a fluent and confident English speaker. I know tons of tricks and methods to an easier, fun and brain-friendly learning journey. I love working with students to improve conversational skills, build confi
I became an English Coach after I noticed that people were having classes for six months (or more) and still were not able to have a simple conversation. So the only option was to believe that the method people were learning from was not efficient enough. I’ve noticed that people were having English classes but were not really using the language and sometimes, not even having enough contact with it to improve.
How I work
I’ve never been a huge fan of traditional methods, which is usually what we see out there. This idea of learning a language through grammar, and thinking that you will reach fluency like that never made much sense to me. What I actually believe, is immersing yourself in a language and, before you ask me, you don’t need to live in an English speaking country to do that. I can show you exactly how to do that from the comfort of your own place. And the best thing is that, as your English Coach, I will support you through your fluency journey.
We’ll have a few live sessions every week but we’re also in constant touch because I believe that this is the best way for you to become fluent and actually acquire the language.
