Hello! Singing in my studio is a blast! It's fun, exploratory, expressionary, and therapeautic. We work on real technique for the whole body, breathing, relaxation of mind, body, muscles and emotions. We work on music that is for lesson purposes as well as music that you as the student want to sing and work on. Whether it's songs you just love and want to sing and work on, or you have an audition or event to prepare for, or you have other musical goals for yourself, there is a place for all of that in my studio. I also ensure that my singers are able to understand the language of the music itself...the tempo, rhythm, notes, and other markings so that you can pick up any song and be able to figure out new melodies and rhythms on your own.
Hello! My name is Shannon and I absolutely love music! Teaching is a huge passion of mine along with performing and sharing music in service opportunities. I am the oldest of 4 children with 2 awesome parents and I come from a rich heritage of music, theatre, performing and culture. I am married to an amazing man and we have two fur-babies. I am very involved in leadership with my church and love serving the Lord and I am honored to be entrusted with this gift of music to share.
I have been teaching Voice and beginning piano for the past 14 years and I have loved every minute of it. I have worked with students in Voice ranging from 11-Adults, each with different goals, dreams and songs. With piano students, I work with ages 6-Adult, and again, each comes with their own ideas, goals, and songs to work on. I have also done small group s
inging classes for 8-10 year olds who are just a bit too young for the more intensive private vocal training, as well as for teenagers who just love performing in a group setting and supporting and being supported by each other. I don't do recitals. We don't call them that. I host open mics and my students are all invited to participate. I always participate to be a good example to my students, be vulnerable and support them and I usually invite other professional musicians to share music as well. They appreciate the opportunity to practice their craft and they are a wonderful inspiration to the younger musicians who watch them. I am a process/experiential/development -based teacher. I taught Kindermusik for many years in California, then continued in Africa for 3 years and I now teach two young children's classes from my private studio...one for 3.5/4 year olds and one for 5 year olds. These are an absolute blast! Because of the healing I have personally experienced through music and the way I have seen it heal and help others, I am working towards my Masters in Music Therapy. Whenever I host a concert, it almost always turns into a benefit. Even when I charge an entrance fee, I still love highlighting the needs in the community or in other parts of the world that we can contribute to. So, when you work with me, these are things that can be a part of your experience and will be if you would like. But, at the same time, if a student prefers that music lessons are just a quiet and personal thing for themselves to enjoy, process, decompress from the world with, I welcome that completely and that's the magic that happens.
I have taught voice lessons, all levels and styles, for over 25 years. I sang in the Opera Club, various operas, in college. In home lessons only.
*** Travel Equipment *** Books. Students must have their own instrument (keyboards are acceptable for taking piano lessons). I always council students on brand, quality of instrument they are purchasing before they buy it.

I have taught band, orchestra, and choir which enables me to teach many instruments and voice. I also have been a language and reading tutor for over 6 years and have worked with students with special needs for over 10 years. I studied classical guitar with master guitarist, Christopher Parkening, at Montana State University where I graduated with a B.M.E. I also did graduate work at MSU in composition. I am completing a Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership currently at Gran
d Canyon University. I teach Suzuki piano and violin. I am an accomplished composer/songwriter with many published and recorded songs and instrumental works through ASCAP. I endeavor to make learning fun, and enjoy teaching students of all ages!
Online student requirements: A fast, reliable COMPUTER; HIGH SPEED INTERNET (at least 400 kbps); SKYPE software; WEBCAM (preferably HD); MICROPHONE (most laptops or tablets have mikes built in). Be sure your camera is focused on you and your instrument, if applicable.
I just recently started with Dee. She is doing a great job of helping me realistically assess my performance, and constructively set goals to improve the aspects that need work. It's been fun and very helpful.

Our 8 year old son had his first Guitar lesson with Dee this past weekend, and she was amazing. She wasted no time getting down to brass tacks with our son, showing him the various parts of the guitar, how to hold it and within minutes he knew two chords. She was able to keep our kiddo engaged, offered great praise and positive feedback/reinforcement and kept him on task for the entire 45 minute lesson. We could not be happier and cannot wait to see what he learns during his next lessons with her!

See is patient, knowledgeable, and makes lessons fun.
I provide lessons to beginner-intermediate students who are interested in learning the proper singing technique for classical music, opera, and musical theatre. In lessons, I help the students build a solid technique, learn new repertoire, and prepare for upcoming auditions.
Hello, and welcome to my page! I am a classically trained singer from Columbia, SC. I have also taught and performed in Southern California, Boston, and the greater Charlotte area. My philosophy is that anyone can learn to sing; just like any other instrument, all it takes is determination and practice. I welcome all levels and ages of aspiring vocalists. I am also open to all genres, from opera to rock! The goal of my lessons is to help singers feel confident with their vocal technique and to feel joy in sharing their gifts.
In addition to singing, I also teach beginner piano, music theory, audition prep, and ear-training.
If you want to learn pop, I'll teach you the same techniques used by Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Bon Jovi, Mick Jagger, and more... because I study with their teacher!
If you want to learn Opera, learn to tackle any audition, gig, or recording session just like Marilyn Horne did. I've got exercises from teachers at the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, and from Marilyn Horne herself to get you right on top of your game!
I've been singing professionally for 16 years. I've sung my own show at Carnegie Hall. I was Gaston in the national tour of Beauty and the Beast and I never missed one of our 326 shows. I can get you on the Gaston regimen in as little as one lesson.
Please message me with your availability and describe your goals before you purchase a lesson.
Christiaan is a multi-talented performer in theater, opera, and pop music. He played Gaston in the Broadway tour of Beauty and the Beast. Something of a bad boy, he was kicked out of Opera School for singing jazz, yet he went on to earn three music degrees, and work with opera legend Marilyn Horne and avant-garde composer Jake Heggie. Now he's in New York studying with Lady Gaga's teacher and singing his own arrangements of Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, and John Mayer at Carnegie Hall while writing and recording pop songs in Nashville and the U.K. Look for his new single That's When You Know.
Christiaan enjoys seeing people succeed, so his approach to teaching is a combination of play and practice. Ultimately we sing because we want to bring people joy, yet to do so, we must hone our talents to perfection. By mixing the joy of music with disci
I just had my first lesson with Christiaan. He was amazing. Gentle, very positive, and really good at observing and figuring out my strengths and weaknesses. He's also inspired me to learn with his love of music and thoughtful approach.

I was blown away by his knowledge and assessment of the skills I should prioritize. My mind was blown several times. Excellent pedagogy and very personable!

I've had a great experience taking lessons with Christiaan! I've had about 10 lessons total now. As someone who doesn't have a background singing, I was definitely a bit nervous going into it, but that didn't last long -- Christiaan's friendly and extremely talented. I especially appreciate that he provides context about posture, history, anatomy, etc. and that he took time early on to learn about my goals. Last but not least, I'm happy with my results so far!
I am currently teaching vocal music in North Little Rock School District. Lessons will include breathing technique and vocal fundamentals. We will pace lessons based on goals set at the beginning of your first lesson and continue creating more goals as you develop as a musician. I am willing to teach various genres of music. Cannot wait to know you and help you find your voice!
I have been teaching music and tutoring for a few years now!
I enjoy music so much! I received my degree from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. I am also a member of the worship band at my church.
One thing that I enjoy the most, as a teacher, is seeing growth and seeing students get that “aha” moment. The most amazing thing about teaching is being able to see the joy in students as they perform. They get to be themselves. Playing an instrument or singing is raw, vulnerable and takes a lot of hard work.
Being a musician is worth it. You get to be able to express yourself in ways impossible otherwise.
Please let me help you along your journey to become the musician you dream to be.
I also mentor/ tutor students at the middle school level in the four core subjects: Math, Science, English and History. I really enjoy w
orking one on one making sure that my students are setting goals and really understanding the material they should be studying.
I would love to teach music and do a little bit of math if you would like that for your child. I can also teach English while we play instruments or sing.
Please let me know if you have any questions! Cannot wait to meet you!
I believe that singing is about so much. It is a way to express yourself, it is a way to gain confidence, and it is a wonderful discipline. I want to help you find YOUR voice. It would be so much fun to get to work with you on anything you might need: sightreading, Choral solos and music, your favorite pop of country song! Anything that interest you!
I am an opera singer and voice teacher. I received my bachelors in vocal performance from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where I taught secondary lessons through the conservatory. I have performed all over the United States and in England. I am currently studying at The Eastman School of Music as a master's student. After graduation from Oberlin, I began my private studio in Texas. My weekly lessons numbered around 60. Over the last 4 years, I have taught students with a variety of interests and goals. It is important to me to find the one thing that excites my students, be that a certain song or style, or maybe how to be more comfortable singing in their church choir. In lessons, not only do we work on vocal technique, we focus on what makes their voice unique, special, and all their own. Students will always have a new building block t
o practice each week. My intention is to inspire my students to have a discerning ear and to appreciate all that goes into making a voice work. My students have been accepted to major college voice programs, as well as participated in competitions and summer programs around the United States.
I have been teaching voice professionally for 5 years, specializing in ages 8-18. My teaching is based on classical vocal technique, but can apply to many genres! Students will partake in fun, educational lessons tailored to their goals as musicians. I take great pride in helping students not only grow as singers, but also ensuring they develop an appreciation for music. Students will improve vocally while also having a great time!
I am a professional singer with experience across musical genres, but specializing in classical and musical theatre work. I work with voice students 8 and older, and love teaching students at any experience level. I am a classically trained lyric soprano, but believe great technique can apply to any and every style. Students will develop their skills in breath control, vocal range, pitch accuracy and more as we work together. Students will have fun will becoming better musicians and achieving their musical goals.
In my professional career, I have performed major roles such as Anne Egerman (A Little Night Music), Dorothy in multiple productions of The Wizard of Oz, Lucy (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown), and Nancy (Oliver!). I also performed in Tosca as the cover for the Shepherd Boy with the New York Grand Opera. As a classically tr
ained singer, I have performed as soloist for numerous masses, including: Requiem in F minor (Bieber), Requiem (Fauré), Missa Brevis (Haydn), and Mass in G (Schubert).
Throughout my collegiate career, I was a member of the nationally known LSU A Cappella Choir under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Fulton. I performed as a soloist with the choir and toured throughout the southeastern United States and Europe.
I received my Bachelor's Degree of Music in Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University and have been teaching voice lessons for 5 years.
I have known Ellen for over 10 years. Upon her graduation at LSU in Vocal Performance, she joined my studio to continue her studies in this discipline.
Since she first started, Ellen has not only grown into an amazing singer and performer with a beautiful voice, but a talented voice teacher herself.
Having overcome poor technique provided to her before her time at LSU, she has special insight into what it takes to do so from a physical and mental perspective with a healthy technique that will allow longevity to the voice while producing its most beautiful quality.
I recommend Ellen without reservation and encourage any interested individuals to pursue lessons with this gifted, kind and insightful voice teacher.

Ellen is a great vocal teacher. My daughter really connected with her from the first meeting. They worked together on songs and Grace really improved and looked forward to her lessons. Ellen’s experience in musical theater helped Grace with auditions and

Ellen is an incredible instructor! She has helped me audition for musicals, solos, and college music programs. She helps choose pieces to meet necessary criteria and is always eager to provide a little extra help when important dates are coming up. She’s also very supportive when big things are happening-she’s awesome! I would absolutely recommend taking lessons from her to anyone interested in studying music or just taking singing lessons in general.
Experienced and well rounded musician. Just graduated from New England Conservatory with Masters in Voice Performance. Performed recently as Cunegonde in Bernstein's Candide and Queen of the Night in Mozart's Magic Flute.
Also trained in violin (15 years) and piano (10 years), and have experience tutoring music theory and keyboard harmony at the undergrad level.
Have worked with experienced singers, but also beginners (from my science lab!!).
I can accompany you on piano as part of our lessons to help build musicianship (and have more fun!).
Lets start the road towards your musical growth and enjoyment in the way YOU work best!!
While we are at it, we can work on another instrument, music theory, or even an academic subject (check out my other subjects on my page!).
Hi! I'm Catherine. I'm passionate for anything music, math, or science, and I would love to work with you to help you accomplish your academic, musical, or personal goals!
A BIT ABOUT ME:
I have a BA in Chemistry and Music (voice and violin concentrations) with academic honors, and a Masters in Music from New England Conservatory (NEC). I have lab experience in Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Astrochemistry at Rollins College, Georgia Tech and The University of Virginia.
I have taught and tutored keyboard harmony and music theory at the Undergrad level at NEC, and have tutored privately (math up to calculus, chemistry up to organic, writing).
WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU:
Having trained in violin for 15 years, piano for 10, and voice for 8, I am ready to help you expand your skills with music lessons.
I can't wait to h
elp you in the way that YOU learn best, and taper our lessons to what will help YOUR GROWTH. Going through school and lessons was not a breeze for me, and I was never one of those people who just “got” things right away. For me it took a diligent learning process, so I know what it's like to learn things from scratch, work with a tutor, ask questions, and make mistakes to achieve the best I can. I want to help you do the same!!
Let's schedule a trial lesson and go from there! Look forward to meeting you.
Catherine is very responsible and extremely helpful for my music theory study. She set up additional office hours to help me understand the knowledge and pass the advanced tonal practice course. Her introduction was very clear and she delivered it with great patience. She was also very thoughtful to be flexible to fit my schedule. I really appreciate her help, and would highly recommend her.

I wish I could give catherine 5000000+ stars! she worked with me through two tough years of undergrad music theory and keyboard and I was able to pass my classes on time and really improve my skills. her positivity, enthusiasm, understanding, and work ethic are unmatched. I couldn’t of made it through my first two years of college without her.

It is always exciting when a vocal student is ready to start studying his or her first operatic aria! One of the best things about being a classical singer is knowing you have so many great years ahead of you. After all, you’re considered in your prime in your 40s.
That being said, realize that the voice you have now and the repertoire you’ll first study will be very, very different from what you sing later on in your career. It’s absolutely crucial that you sing repertoire that is …
