Are you a self-taught beginner or intermediate guitar player who is looking to take their skills to the next level? I'm a self-taught guitar player myself, and I've also taken a few lessons here and there and have learned the fundamental music theory needed to make guitar as enjoyable as possible (without forcing tabs or sheet music).

Half the battle is knowing what you need to learn, and the next step is finding solid guidance to help you apply your knowledge to the music you want to play.

I enjoy seeing people improve their skills and unlock their potential through understanding of the fundamentals of what is needed to play on your own, in a band, or just to be able to create your own music. My goal is not so much teaching one how to play an instrument, but more broadly, to help one cultivate their own living musicality. My own areas of practice, study, and specialization are in free improvisation, sound art/Sonic sculpture, conceptual performance, and songwriting/composition. I've explored a vast number of different styles and genre. Jazz, classical, folk and bluegrass, spirituals, blues, punk rock, contemporary ghospel, electronic dance and ambient, to name a few... I love working with kids, I love teaching any age any skill level, I promise to listen, and fine tune our lesson to fit your specific personality and needs.

Modern Metal isn't everyone's thing. That's how I discovered Country Guitar. As a fan of greats like John-5 and Brad Paisley, there are a lot of talented people that can play great guitar in country style.

I do a lot of modern country. Like older Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Scruggs and Flats, Luke Bryan and others upon request. Open chords are a big part of the genre as well as Major Pentatonic Scales.

Will do my best to make sure you accomplish your country goals.

Take guitar lessons with a Berklee College of Music graduate! All levels welcome! I will help you reach any goal whether you want to play professionally or just want to learn your favorite song. I have a strong background in music theory and have learned both Jazz and Classical theory from some of the best professors and musicians in the world. My favorite thing as a teacher is to dissect a student's favorite song and show them the "how" and the "why" of the song. What makes it sound so good? It's so gratifying to see a student use a concept that I've explained to them from their favorite song and reuse it in their own way to make their own music. I can't wait to work with you and watch you flourish as a musician!
