Harp Lessons in Turbeville. Amazing Teachers.

I design, build and perform with the Folk Harp (ie: Celtic Harp), which is a smaller harp, usually with no pedals.

A graduate from Rice University's Shepherd School of Music, Cindy is a passionate harp teacher and performer who loves to interact with students. She has taught students in all levels in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Cindy first started harp with her grandmother, a well-known harpist in China, at their home in Beijing. Since she was young, she was greatly influenced by watching her grandmother teach at home. Cindy believes in giving young harpists a well-rounded music education, and she focuses on technique and musicality through her teaching.

I teach Harp lessons to students of all levels and ages. You do not need to own a Harp, to begin lessons. I rent Harps to Students, and gear the lessons to your interests and abilities. It is a great instrument!

She wanted to share her gift of music with others and started teaching harp lessons when she was 17. Lydia was hired on as a teacher with a local professional music company and worked there for 4 years. During that time she continued her education and received the necessary training on how to effectively teach students of any age.
