Book NowI'm a great teacher for young children! I've played the violin for over 10 years and have taught professionally at a music school back home in NY. I've worked a ton with kids, from being a pre-school aid to baby-sitting special needs kids, so I am very good at keeping lessons fun and interactive. Even though I don't play professionally now, growing up with music and having orchestra class be a safe space to express myself was so impactful in shaping the adult I have become. The violin is an amazing instrument to learn and I hope I can spark enthusiasm in your child and inspire them to stay with it as they grow.
About Marina

I am accepting students who have demonstrated understanding of music notation, music fundamentals, chord spellings. I require students to upload improved scores weekly.
If you are interested in a music fundamentals course in order to qualify for composition lessons, please let me know.
Similarly, my composition lessons are different than MIDI sequencing, or digital audio workshop lessons. Should you wish to learn MIDI and how to digitally record and mix, please me know.

I am an emotive cellist with two decades experience. I have toured internationally performing my original works including London, Paris, and Berlin. As a member of the Pierce Quartet I regularly arrange and perform music for weddings and other special occasions. I love sharing classical music with all levels of students. Lessons with me are calm, meditative experiences where we use peaceful techniques to enter into the heart of music.
About Lenna
Hello musicians! My name is Lenna and I am pleased to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2011 and have loved helping my students improve their tone, learn better sight reading skills, and become more relaxed in performance. I have toured the world as a singer songwriter and before t

Lenna was the most patient, understanding and fun teacher I could have asked for. She understood what I needed and got me from barely able to hold the bow to playing Rigoletto in front of a small audience in 6 months! THAT is no small feat. She loves playing, she loves teaching and she understands the human condition. A very good combination indeed. I highly recommend you hire her as your cello teacher, or your child's cello teacher, or your next door neighbor's cello teacher.

My approach to music theory is that it should be learned by doing - being told what an Italian Sixth chord doesn't do you much good if you can't apply it in your own music. To that end, we'll spend time on close listening, sight-singing, dictation, rhythm games, etc., and minimal time with textbooks.
About Brendon
I am a composer, guitarist, arranger, engraver, and songwriter located in Brooklyn. I have taught extensively for the past ten years in a variety of settings, including teaching private guitar lessons at Saint David's School in Manhattan, teaching private composition lessons and TA'ing two electro

My daughter is 5 years old when I signed her up to take lessons. Terri is a wonderful teacher. She is VERY patient with kids and very caring. She always made sure my daughter understood the lesson. I will post a video of my daughter's first recital so you can see how much she learned in just 5 months. Thank you Terri for everything and we will see you on Friday.
