both a capable mathematician and a great pedagogue. His grasp of the material was consistently nothing short of remarkable. In the classroom his questions made our professors and classmates penetrate the covered topics even deeper, shedding light on their hidden aspects. Often I was under the impression that he could do a better job teaching these classes than our professors. Both a strong mathematician and a pleasant person to work with Jeff seems to me a perfect teacher who can give a lot to his students. I can highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning mathematics.

Hello, my name is Alec! I tutor high school and collegelevel math courses that include Calculus 1(AB), Calculus 2(BC), AP Calculus, Precalculus, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Intermediate Algebra, etc. I love tutoring because it gives me an outlet to use my skills to help others! I would love to show you the great variety of credentials and experience that have developed me in to a highly adept and experienced tutor. Very recently, I worked extensively for Colorado Mountain College as a Calculus 1, PreCalc, and Trig tutor, which helped me gain critical experience. Also, I am currently working at the University of Colorado Boulder as a Calculus and Algebra Tutor. I will make sure that the student can complete a wide range of problems pertaining to the subject matter without any help. My skills extend past just being able to effectively teach the material as I can help a student with testing and their overall approach to the class. Overall, I am excited to harmonize my expertise in effective

I am an MIT tutor specializing in math and science, and I have taught math anywhere between prealgebra and calculus (including algebra) for 5 years. I have taken AP Calculus BC while in high school, and I have taken Multivariable Calculus and Differential Equations at MIT, and I actively participated in many math competitions through elementary, middle, and high schools.
Before the lessons, I like to talk with parents, students, and/or teachers to fully gauge what they have been struggling with and how to best help them. Then I identify the student's gap in knowledge while helping them complete their homework and give them additional drilling problems as needed to help them fully master the materials and do well on their tests. I always carry around AP Calculus prep books or college calculus practice problems (depending on the students' levels) so that the students can practice these problems as needed. I also provide them with additional resources and practice problems as needed.
About Nayoon
I'm an MIT tutor specializing in math, science, and test prep and many of my students have gone on to study at Ivy Leagues, MIT, and McGill. Many of my students have also gotten 800 on both SAT Math and SAT Math 2, 750+ on SAT Reading and Writing, and 5's on the AP exams even in the midst of pandemi
