Ms. Janai was the best tutor I have ever had. No matter the day, or time she was always there to help me out. Either it was math, science, writing, etc. she'd help me with every subject no matter how long it took for me to get it right, every subject was like her first nature. She was amazing teaching in person and just as good online. I've never met another tutor like Janai, she understands what you're going wrong and what your difficulties are, but she always manages to turn those difficulties around and make you better at understanding what you need to do better in order to succeed. If you're looking for an outstanding tutor Janai is the way to go!

Janai is great with older adults. She's so patient and makes me feel relaxed even when I'm saying the wrong words. She has passion! and that's exciting to see.

My teaching strategy is to introduce my students to the basic, building blocks of guitar playing so that they can form into whatever kind of guitarist they wish to become. It's sort of like creative writing—once you learn the basics of grammar, you can then break the rules and change the way you write. This is how I learned when I was 14, and subsequently, have been able to delve into many different ways to play guitar from forming punk rock power chords to gypsy jazz strumming patterns. The guitar is a language of its own, and I hope to aid in your fluency.

About Sophia

I have been studying music for almost all my life. It started when I was 6 years old when I sang for my family during the holidays. I never stopped singing since then and decided I wanted to play guitar to accompany myself when I was 14 years old. Music is a huge part of what makes me, me. It has l

I teach beginner to intermediate piano, which include learning to sight-read, playing scales, proper fingering techniques, teaching to play with both hands together. Eventually we will get to deeper roots in theory such as key signatures, modes and Jazz chords and theory. I believe my students need to learn music theory along with piano, other wise they don't understand the fundamentals of music. Plus it will help them in the future with other instruments or band at school.

About Astrid

Teaching is my passion. Over the last few years I have worked with some amazing students of all ages. My youngest student was 2 years old and my oldest student is in her 70's and I absolutley love that! I have experience working with children with learning difficulties and students who get frustrat

I have known Sherrine for almost a year, in which she taught me Jazz vocals. I have a classical background and knew nothing about jazz at the time. Sherrine took time to explain me all I needed to know and begin my studies as a jazz vocalist. I adore her and recommend her to anyone who is looking for a private instructor.

I don't think there is enough words in the english language to express my gratitude for Sherrine. I spent 2 years under sherrine's tutelage, and during that time the amount of growth I experienced as a vocalist was remarkable. Sherrine is warm, inviting, and very focus on helping her students reach new heights during each lesson. I highly recommend Sherrine.

Ms. Sherrine has really helped me with my confidence as well as vocals. She is a pretty relaxed teacher and is welcoming to you. When I first started taking lessons with Ms. Sherrine I was very shy and tensed up all the time. But she helped me relax and loosen up a bit. And whenever I have lessons with her she made me fall in love with music all over again. She always made lessons fun while teaching me many new things.

They practice on separate pianos at home but play together on some songs.
Sue is fantastic. What a spitfire! Full of patience and kindness. She is quite knowledgeable. Really good with children. Sue is that favorite teacher we all had in school. My twins love her and are really excited about taking piano lessons! What a hoot!"

"Ben has been instructing my 2 kids (now aged 11 and 9) in-home for at least 5 years. We started off with piano for the first few years but then switched to a combination of piano and acoustic guitar (half a session dedicated to each instrument).

He is patient, kind, and highly knowledgeable. I clearly see the upward trajectory in my kids' musical capabilities. One of my kids can be difficult to deal with, especially when he is tired, but Ben would mold his approach to the lesson on the spot to keep my kid engaged (e.g., instead of continuing the lesson on the actual piano, he'd switch to a fun music-oriented game)."
