Trinity is a sophomore at Winthrop University, pursuing a BM in Music Performance with a minor in Music Technology. At Winthrop, she is Principal Viola in the symphony orchestra and violist in the Cabaletta String Quartet. As someone passionate about music, Trinity still wants to expand what she learns outside of the recital hall. Because of this, she plans to structure each lesson around growth and patience. Often the best way to improve is to gradually start with the root of your struggles, and built from there.

About Trinity

Hello! Music is one of the most consistent things in my life that I have always been able to drawback to. Whether it be listening to music or making it, it holds a heavy place in my heart. The viola, while I could gush over it for hours, is simply the one instrument that I've been able to connect w

Drawing from a wide array of performance and teaching experiences, I tailor unique lessons to Viola and Violin students of all kinds who are ready to take their playing to the next level. I hold all of my students to a high level of achievement, while integrating their personal goals into my lessons. Some of my students have described lessons with me as "whacky and fun." Students learn basic skills, advanced techniques, music theory, music history, among other subjects to help inform effective and enjoyable performances. What do you want to achieve? Let me know and let's work together to get there!

Started with some basics and built on that. Was very helpful in showing me tuning, proper hand positioning, and how to improve my fingering (those pesky notes). Got a lot for the first class and enough homework to keep me busy! Will be meeting again next week.

Lesson was great fun. Judy is very good at making you feel that you're actually making progress and she is very patient with absolute rookies.

Well, so far this is only my first bass lesson, so I didn't even know if I would like it. But I must say I'm more excited than ever! Kevin is clearly a virtuoso player, with a pleasant, relaxed demeanor, clear teaching style, and the best sense of humor. That really takes any edge off any nervousness. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Is Piano the BEST Instrument to Play? Sound Off!

We came across this interesting article from MyDreamTeacher.com and just had to share!  Here's a taste of the reasons the author thinks the piano is the best instrument out there: 1) It has more notes. The piano keyboard represents every note available on other instruments.  There is no instrument that has a note that the piano does not have.  This reason alone gives a strong case for everyone to play piano. 2) What you hit is what you get.
