Throughout each lesson, I learned something new about myself. She was very patient, informative, and always had good things to say about you and your acting/voice skills. She helped awaken my creative theatre mind again and I’m thankful for that. I highly recommend taking her if you want a good experience in learning or enhancing your acting/voice skills!
I have been studying Broadway singers for years. I have been a Musical Theatre performer for years and I am still studying singing, acting and dancing. I am still young and know what it feels to want to better yourself everyday, so I can relate to most learning students. I put a lot of importance to vocal training, technique and warm-ups.
Lehman College, Bachelors of Fine Arts, Graduate! I am a Musical Theatre Performer. I perform all the time and believe that warm-ups are a big importance when it comes to performing. Technique is something I have been studying for a while, and I am consistently learning what new techniques work for myself too. I teach singing, acting and other subjects too, check them out!
Professional singer, songwriter and performer who is passionate about helping new vocalists find freedom, confidence and a sense of self in their singing!
Singing is a special type of music, with your body as the instrument and your heart laid out for all to see. As your teacher, I will help you build a solid foundation in technique and music theory while tailoring lessons to your personal aims and goals.
For those interested in songwriting/recording as well, my lesson plan can include me recording, mixing and producing a song that you compose.

So happy to have found Emilie! I work for a family with a four year old child who is extremely engaged in art and we wanted to find private lessons for her. Emilie has been extremely accommodating and very intentional in making sure we were ready for our first lesson. Will be scheduling more lessons and look forward to her being apart of my charges explorative learning!
I am currently teaching vocal music in North Little Rock School District. Lessons will include breathing technique and vocal fundamentals. We will pace lessons based on goals set at the beginning of your first lesson and continue creating more goals as you develop as a musician. I am willing to teach various genres of music. Cannot wait to know you and help you find your voice!
I have been teaching music and tutoring for a few years now!
I enjoy music so much! I received my degree from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. I am also a member of the worship band at my church.
One thing that I enjoy the most, as a teacher, is seeing growth and seeing students get that “aha” moment. The most amazing thing about teaching is being able to see the joy in students as they perform. They get to be themselves. Playing an instrument or singing is raw, vulnerable and takes a lot of hard work.
Being a musician is worth it. You get to be able to express yourself in ways impossible otherwise.
Please let me help you along your journey to become the musician you dream to be.
I also mentor/ tutor students at the middle school level in the four core subjects: Math, Science, English and History. I really enjoy w
orking one on one making sure that my students are setting goals and really understanding the material they should be studying.
I would love to teach music and do a little bit of math if you would like that for your child. I can also teach English while we play instruments or sing.
Please let me know if you have any questions! Cannot wait to meet you!
I am a student at UTC looking to teach students who are beginners and are passionate about learning about their voice!! I have taken a class on Vocal Pedagogy that teaches students to use their voice and really enjoyed my time working with beginners during this course! I have been taking lessons in classical voice for several years now and have traveled around and sung with several professional choirs.
**side notes** I do book voice lessons with children and adolescence. However, boys from the ages of 12-16 are undergoing their "changing voice" and this area of expertise is not my strong suit. Also, do to the limited vocal abilities of a child; many of vocal training classes with young kids include short lessons in music theory

Having experienced playing Princess Jasmine, Mrs. Lovett, and Peter Pan (to name a few) in my musical theatre journey, I want to teach you how to do the same by getting the lead role in your next audition! There is so much to learn in how to use proper technique when singing and I am so excited to get to teach you the Do’s and Don’t’s of singing that so many people aren’t aware of! Let’s get started on your musical journey today!
I am a professional vocalist, pianist, and guitarist.
Having played many lead roles including Princess Jasmine, Mrs. Lovett, and Peter Pan (to name a few) in my musical theatre journey, I want to teach my students how they can do the same by getting the lead role in their next audition!
Not only have I performed in lead roles, I have also lead worship at several churches, accompanying myself on the acoustic guitar and/or piano/keyboard.
I enjoy playing an array of other instruments as well including the violin, ukulele, mandolin, flute, saxophone, djembe, and whatever else I can get my hands on. (I love music!)
I have sung in Carnegie Hall, and have toured South Africa on a musical service learning opportunity with the elite choir at Mississippi College, Singers. I have performed on stage longer than I can remember, and am
the third generation of piano teachers in my family.
In my classroom (whether online or in-person), students can expect a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere in their lessons where mistakes can be had, but corrections will be made in both a respectful and caring way. I am here to encourage and correct, not to criticize.
All lessons begin with music theory training. Whether you are learning to sing, play the piano or guitar, music theory is the foundation of learning to play all music. The lesson will then go into the lesson curriculum I require for the specific instrument, and will then continue to the student’s performance pieces. Piano lessons have an added bonus at each lesson which includes a time of improvisation with the teacher!
I look forward to teaching and encouraging you along your musical journey that you are sure to love!
Maria is amazing on all levels. She is professional and builds a friendship with your children. Her faith and talent are a 10. I wish we could have kept her in south Mississippi but we know we had to let her go.

Maria is an amazing teacher who puts a lot of emphasis on building correct vocal technique and making sure singers are using their voice properly and not damaging their voice. She has been trained by the best teachers and has quite an extensive resume with performances in Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in New York. As well as touring South Africa. She builds on what she has learned and shares that knowledge with her students. I highly recommend Maria!!!

Singing on pitch take practice -- and if you're struggling with singing flat or singing sharp, you're not alone! Even some famous singers have trouble hitting the notes perfectly at all times.
Fortunately, there are some great ear training exercises you can do to get better at recognizing when you're off. Then, use the right vocal techniques to correct yourself.
In this video, singing teacher Arlys A. demonstrates how to recognize if you're singing flat, and how to not sing flat once yo …
