Having completed my tour of duty in the U.S. Army, I am currently on the Dean'€™s list as a music/audio production major, and plan to continue my music education until I earn at least a masters in performance and composition. I started my teaching career at Milestones in Music, a local studio, as an independent contractor, where i was able to gain valuable experience and fine tune my curriculum. I'm a self taught player but I couldn't figure out how to play solos, and I never understood jazz concepts to be able to play it. After my first lesson, Johnathon gave me many fundamental points to begin to understand performing a solo. In order to move forward, I need to move backwards and master fundamental techniques. Johnathon was focused, detailed, and clearly communicated the points he was explaining to me. He laid out a detailed plan of what to practice, and I was very happy with my first lesson!

My son has been taking lessons with Ed since he was 5. Ed was very patient dealing with a high energy child who had a limited attention span. Eight years later, we are still seeing Ed weekly for lessons and my son has turned into a well-rounded musician. Ed tailors the lessons to my son's musical interests and takes an interest in what is going on in his life.

We have gone to see Ed perform in several venues and he always takes the time to talk to us during his break. I highly recommend Drum Lessons with Ed for those at any skill level.

Mason B.

Macungie, PA

About Mason

My Name is Mason and I've been teaching music to students of all ages since I was 14. I originally taught at a facility near Reading, PA called Zeswitz. While I worked there I studied along side other seasoned professionals in genres like jazz, heavy metal and folk styles. Currently I run a small business. My experience, since I was 8 years old, was built on private lessons from select very accomplished and certified guitarists. I also played in several profitable bands including jazz duos, classic rock trios and currently a blues duo with my lovely wife. I'm also always building and helping local bands. I'm very pro learning and never satisfied with my playing enough to say I don't have to practice any longer. I share to same attitude towards my students. There are always new grounds to ...

I've been a student for a few years now. As a producer, I lack the ability to perform. Mason goes beyond traditional curriculum and helps me use the abilities I already have to bring to the stage. I am pretty skilled in my musical career, but now I'm becoming polished. Thank you! Absolutely recommend!
