Joya undertook the translation of technical guidance (a construction standard) from English into French. She consulted well on the exact translation of technical terms, delivered on time and to budget. The translation has been well received by french colleagues for whom it was prepared.

Katey F.

Valley Village, CA

About Katey

I am currently in school to get my teaching credential and have spent some time in elementary school classrooms working with small groups or individual students. I have tutored students in reading, math, and Spanish through the America Reads program in New York and while I was in high school in California. I love helping students to achieve their academic goals and discover their true potential. My older sister has autism so I have become very familiar with many different special needs children and am very understanding and patient with each student's level of learning. I also volunteered at an Autism center while studying abroad in Ghana during college, so I have some experience working with children in many different environments.

About Kymbr

I started tutoring and caring for children very early, volunteered in classrooms in preschools, elementary schools and special needs classes when I was still in school. I began my AA degree in Early Childhood Education in 1993, but had to put my schooling aside in favor of employment and parenthood. I worked with children from infants to teens over the next twenty years in childcare centers, day cares, school age programs, tutoring and private lessons.I completed my BA in Education in March of 2014.

Marie B.

Glendale, CA

I have been sewing for over 30 years and teaching for over 12 years. I am a Fashion Design graduate (FIDM) and can teach sewing, sewing machine care and basics, fabric cutting, using a pattern, pattern alteration or drafting, and draping.

I can customize the class to your needs and interests. I can teach you the making of garments, costumes or home decoration items, it's up to you! I can't wait to teach you how to be proficient with your machine and hand sewing.

About Marie

I have worked in Animation for over 20 years, from traditional 2D animation to computer, initially in Canada, in Montreal, more precisely. In '97, I was hired by the Walt Disney Animation Studio to train their animators on the computer. I taught computer animation software, mainly Maya, and Photoshop to hundreds of talented artists here in Burbank. I was also creating and writing teaching materials, so I am well versed in Word, and Illustrator. I really enjoy teaching, but after years of teaching animation software, I craved teaching something more meaningful, that wouldn't just help people in their career, but in every aspect of their life. This is where Life Coaching got my attention. Through coaching, I can have a real positive impact in the world, one person at a time. My other ...
