While I found Laurence to be a good teacher and my daughter was happy with her lessons, she cancelled the set of lessons in the middle without any warning or sign that she was not happy with the arrangement. We missed one class and that was an unfortunate event, but she did not email to talk to us and just abruptly quit. I found that wad rude and unprofessional. I gave her flowers one time. It takes a kind heart to return kind gestures.

I've gotten so much better!

So far, with just having three lessons with Jeff, I feel that the amount that I have progressed in three weeks is far greater than the amount I've improved in the two years I've been drumming! I highly recommend Jeff to anybody.

Skilled, caring and fun teacher!

I am so happy to have started classes with Christine. In the couple months I've been working with her I feel a huge improvement in the quality of my singing and comfortabity with technique. Christine has tailored our lessons to meet my exact needs. She's an expert in classical voice and her depth of knowledge means I'm learning about musicality, composers, technique, and performance. She is a fantastic teacher, fun to be around, and has empowered my voice more than any other teacher I've worked with! I'd highly recommend Christine.

Great for a beginner

I came into these singing lessons with zero singing experience, and it's been really positive. Christine helped me to feel comfortable right away. She's been engaged with what I've wanted to learn, and put thought into customizing instruction for me.

We talk about listening for harmonies in different types of popular music, how to train my ear to hear, suggestions of different recordings to listen to, and even a bit of music theory. I have some historical music experience (violin), and she's found ways to connect the singing instruction to what I already know. I'm now (attempting) to learn a folk song she's suggested, and found myself surprised to be able to learn and observe quite a bit through the process-- and begin to pull it off-- I think. :)

I see several reviews here from trained singers, but wanted to chime in that Christine has been great for a very untrained student as well!

Great Teacher

Christine is an incredibly generous person who deeply cares about her students' needs. She carved out time for me from her own performance rehearsals when I was under a lot of pressure to measure up for a performance that was just around the corner.

She is extremely encouraging and positive, and she knows the techniques to get your performance level higher or to expand your range.

I would definitely recommend her.

Highly recommend Judy!

Our daughters have been taking private guitar lessons with Judy for the past year. They both really enjoy working with Judy and have made great improvements in their skills.

It was really important for us to work towards a goal of having the kids perform at a community function. Judy worked with us to write the music of a traditional Indian song and helped the girls learn the chords and melody to be able to play together skillfully.

Judy has been very flexible with our home lesson timings, working around the kids' school and sports schedules. She knows the bands/artists they like and always brings them music that they would want to learn and play from these artists. She makes learning fun and has a great way of interacting with the kids.

Alexandra is by far the most enthusiastic and invested harp teacher I have ever had. Her extensive background really lends itself to the music she teaches, whether it be small exercises for beginners, to giant harp solos for college students. She really inspires you to do your best, and actually makes you want to practice.

A teenage boy and a 40-year-old woman do not go about learning an instrument (or music theory) in the same way, and Alexandra knows how to tailor her lessons to each students' needs -- definitely not a one-size-fits all teacher. Cheerful and encouraging, she knows how to walk the fine line between demanding excellent work and being a control freak. Whether you or your child want to learn music theory for any instrument, or the harp in particular, you can't go wrong with Alexandra. Also, for those who have to listen to anyone practicing a new instrument, it's hard to make an ugly sound on a harp.

Olga is a great teacher and an experienced professional. She have been teaching my daughter last two years. I can say that it was enjoyable and worthwhile experience. I think she is kind of teacher who is in the talent-finding and talent-development business. She helped my daughter to come out of her shell and gain more confidence.
