I moved to Miami in 2001 to attend school and perform with artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Micheal Brecker, David Sandborn, Diana Krall, as well as numerous corporate bands in the Miami area playing for such people as Donald Trump and opening up for Lionel Richie and Elton John. Matthew K. Clearwater, FL

About Matthew

Cheers. My name is Matthew. It's a pleasure to meet you. I play guitar, bass, drums and percussion all on a professional, weekly-gigging level. I would describe my style as motivating, tactful, patient, and both traditional and up-to-date / modern. I teach all styles, but I most enjoy transitioning North American rock musicians into the world of jazz, and especially SALSA / Latin, believe it or not! I have a Bachelors in Psychology (University of Central Florida), have toured Japan with my band, and I also release solo music. I have recorded in famous Tokyo studios and actually ended up living in the Land of the Rising Sun for 4 years! I am Spanish, Japanese, and Portuguese speaking as well (English as my native language), having visited Colombia, Bali (Indonesia), Hong Kong, Japan, and ...

Matt definitely knows his stuff. I had 4 classes with him and I'm shocked at the things I've learn with him. Great schedule flexibility and makes you feel comfortable from the time you meet him. Has a great and spacious place to teach compared to other I had. Hes willing to help anytime with questions. I decided to keep him as instructor for now on. Thanks!

I think he was to scared to teach my daughter. I also think he needs a better place to teach, and he needs to make the classes more fun for kids. Our first lesson wasn't a good experience.
Adam G. Oldsmar, FL

About Adam

I started playing guitar at the age of 12, teaching myself before I moved on to taking professional lessons. At 15, I began performing in front of live audiences with a rock band, and loved every minute of it. Ever since then, I have been performing and recording, as well as writing/arranging music. I was privately tutored extensively in Music Theory, Harmony, Arrangement and Composition. I have played many stages over the years in various cover and original bands, from acoustic to rock, to blues, metal and southern rock. I feel that I can offer much from the viewpoint of a working musician in addition to your basic instrument lesson; from instrument set-up tips, to getting your own sound, to how to effectively use effects and performance tips. Personally, I enjoy rock and metal music ...

Week 4

It's only been week 4 and I'm startin to learn to play songs. As an adult learner I thought I would have much more difficulty but Adam has not only tailored the lessons to what I am interested in learning but is always watching and listening to how I play. He give instant feedback and helps me adjust on the fly. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor to tea h me to play guitar. Thanks Adam for the current and hopefully many future lessons.

Great instructor overall

Marty was a great instructor to me. Taught me a lot in the 4 lessons I had with him. Very professional and knowledgable in Bass. Unfortunately because my schedule changing I could not keep him as an instructor. My only gripe would be that his studio room gets a little cramped and my guitar sometimes would hit things. Other than that. I would definitely recommend him.

Randall was fantastic. He immediately engaged with my son, and interspersed history and anecdotes into the lesson that made what he was saying even more relevant. Vlad is nine, and new to the violin. He couldn't wait to get home and practice, and is already looking forward to his next lesson.

Nicole is a terrific instructor! This was my first time taking singing lessons, but Nicole was prepared to start from the beginning with me. She took the time to listen to what I was looking for out of these lessons and determine what my strengths and weaknesses were. Nicole allowed me to choose songs for us to work on, but was very willing to help me choose songs that suite my voice, challenged me, or were just fun songs to work on! I very much recommend taking lessons with Nicole if you're preparing for any performance or just want to develop your voice.
