My son had played a little guitar before he started coming to Jacob. He was quite bored with the music he was playing and was not at all motivated to practice.
This is no longer the case. Since starting lessons with Jacob, there are days when it's hard to get him to put the guitar down!

Jacob focuses on what my son wants to play. This has kept him interested in his music and progressing quickly. He enjoys his time with his instructor, who is kind and patient and an excellent musician.
.
Jacob has been flexible when we have needed to reschedule on occasion and as a parent, has been a pleasure to work with.

All around, I couldn't be happier with a guitar instructor for a teen boy. I'm sure he would be just as great with any age/gender. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Annette was our boys' piano teacher for the 4 1/2 years we lived in Germany. She worked so well with both boys, adjusting to their very different styles. Her patient, kind, encouraging style in a relaxed, non-intimidating environment gave the boys confidence and a love for piano. I was always especially impressed with Annette's follow through with a detail or question or technique that came up during a lesson that needed elaboration. She would often go the extra step and seek out a further example or answer a question in further detail after a lesson and email that information to me to share with the boys. I can't express how grateful I am for the gift of music that she has instilled in both boys. She was a wonderful teacher.

Annette has been an excellent piano teacher for my children! They have caught her love for piano. I appreciate her expert level teaching and especially love her patience with them. They really want to do their best for her. My children have taken lessons from her for just about three years and we couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Beginner Basics: How to Read Violin Sheet Music
The most valuable skill you can develop as a musician is learning to read music. While it’s possible to learn to play “by ear,” reading music opens up the world to you as an artist!
