A woodwind instrument in the double reed family that typically plays music written in the bass and tenor clefs, and occasionally the treble. Appearing in its modern form in the 19th century, the bassoon figures prominently in orchestral, concert band, and chamber music literature. The bassoon is a non-transposing instrument known for its distinctive tone colour, wide range, variety of character and agility. Listeners often compare its warm, dark, reedy timbre to that of a male baritone voice. Someone who plays the bassoon is called a bassoonist. The lessons will consist of breathing and finger techniques, learning notes and rhythms and how to read. Very quickly songs will be incorporated and as the student progresses we will work on learning scales and how to solo.

I have experience teaching students of all ages and was formerly a keyboard instructor at NYU where I taught keyboard skills classes and private lessons. I'm also well-versed in the Taubman Approach--a biomechanically sound approach to piano technique that allows pianists to play with ease and free of tension and pain.
My ultimate goal as a piano teacher is to teach my students how to learn, practice, and express music effectively in a welcoming and collaborative lesson environment. I believe that regardless of age students learn best when they actively engage in their learning through discovery, problem-solving, and creativity. Beyond just introducing and discovering new musical concepts, I guide students on how to practice during their lesson by showing them how to approach new music and how to organize their practice time for the most efficient results. And most importantly, I make sure that students are developing healthy physical habits at the piano so that they can have a ...

I specialize in audition prep, self tape practice, script analysis, character work, monologue selection & breakdown, and teaching my students basic acting techniques. I tailor each lesson to my students individual needs, and I meet students where they are.
Whether you are just starting out in your acting journey, or have extensive previous acting experience, you will leave each lesson with me feeling more confident and having a deeper understanding of acting.
Techniques I employ in my acting lessons include the likes of Meisner, Uta Hagen, Stella Adler, Stanislavski, Lee Strasberg, and Michael Chekhov. I cultivate a positive, professional environment where mistakes are celebrated and my students are encouraged to explore their character & themselves with no judgement.
