Yoga and meditation have been in my life for ten years. After training and being certified with a Yoga Alliance school, I started teaching six years ago. I love teaching beginners and using therapeutic modifications to safely engage with injuries.

I have been taking Liam's Tai Chi/ Qi Gong class for nearly two years now. He is a dynamic teacher that is sensitive to different types of learning paces and styles (both eastern and western) and employs both in his classes. His explanations are simple and he always relates the movement back to its origin as a martial arts defense/offensive move which helps one establish the intention behind the movement. I have learned yang short form and chen style short form from him. I would highly recommend that you take his class if you are interested in beginning or continuing a tai chi practice. Through my practice I have found a healthy way to manage stress and anxiety.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese practice and is sometimes referred to as a moving meditation. It can help with high blood pressure, and is a great way to practice relaxation techniques. Tai Chi helps improve balance and flexibility.

I have been teaching Tai Chi in the Taoist Tai Chi style since 2009, certified in set leading and beginner instruction.

I can teach you two Taoist sequences - the 18 movement as well as the 108 moves. I usually recommend new students learn the 18 moves first, get this memorized and then move into the 108 moves.

Having learned Chinese in order to study and practice Tai-Chi in its native land and tongue, I have been training and teaching for nearly 30 years. After training with some of the world's best I have been able to create a practice that really works. My focus with students is opening the body, relaxing, concentrating the breath and sinking "Qi". Students start with the Basic Exercises and the Yang Family Form later learning more specific methods for internal power development.

I've only been working with Ron for a little over a month now but he is an excellent instructor. He is very knowledgeable, detail oriented, and easy to learn from. He knows what pace of instruction works and he doesn't try to rush through anything. Also, I find it helpful how he can relate the forms to a practical martial arts use which helps me to better understand. He frequently reminds me that my Tai Chi Chuan is great for where I'm at which is a powerful reinforcement. It encourages me to continue to practice and improve daily. I recommend Ron to anyone who is ready to start learning and discover the benefits of Tai Chi Chuan.

Master Teacher Ron Pfeiffer is a true find if you are looking for exceptionally high-quality of instruction. His depth of knowledge and experience in martial arts makes him a valuable tai chi instructor as he is able to elucidate the finer points of the forms and make your tai chi practical, as well.
His style of teaching translates well to the online medium. He keeps a sharp eye on even minute mistakes while remaining positive and encouraging, breaks down the movements, and is attentive to detail . He also has a sense of humor, which is always a welcome characteristic in a teacher.
Since he is very experienced, he can assess his students very well and knows just what level of instruction to deliver, depending on your needs.
I am enriched and feel I'm moving to a new level after every class with Ron. Very grateful for his instruction and highly recommend!

I have been working with Ron for over a year. He is an amazing teacher. His teaching style is full of patience and his explanations of each move are not only technically detailed in the physical move itself, but also in the reason for and benefit of the move. Steve really tailored the class to my needs. He throws in wit, humor and insight in his lessons. The fitness regimen he taught me is something that I can do everyday with relatively modest effort and time commitment. I am already seeing the benefits of practicing what he has taught me. Steve contacted me before my first lesson to discuss what I expected from the session. I had only scheduled one lesson and wanted to try it out for myself and because I am enrolled in a graduate study program; I needed to try an alternative healing session so I could complete an assignment. I loved that Steve explained the movements and how they affected the internal body, mind, and spirit. He is a wealth of information and I plan on continuing to learn from him.

Emei and Wudang styles of Taijichuan also come with qigong practices, history of the lineage, anecdotes of Chinese culture and Daoist beliefs which have influence taiji. I can also do a qigong only class or meditation training, basic stances, breathing, esoteric practices and baguazhang training.
I have nearly 20 years of experience training, teaching, cultivating and extending classes to an online setting is a new endeavor for me but I think reaching out to people who may not have the opportunity to come to me is a great thing. Thank you,

About Ya Dang
Mr Yang Dang was born and raised in New England. As a child he enjoyed play-fighting with his friends and all things martial arts. Although his was raised without any formal training, the yearning within him grew. It wasn’t until later that he began his journey into wushu.
During his time studying Roger Williams University and commuting to school a calling was felt to seek out and find a master in order to balance all of his work and study as well as himself. He first studied Taekwondo under the tutelage of the late Keith Medeiros, a 6th Dan Master. At 20, walking into a quiet gym, it was then that he discovered Wen-Qing Wu and began his first steps into Chinese martial arts through Tai-Chi Chuan (Taijichuan). Eventually all his time was diverted to training under his new master and the teachings of his Grandmaster, Liang Shou-Yu. St
udying movements from Taijichuan, Northern Longfist, Emei styles and weapons, he absorbed all that he could. He added Baguahzhang, xingyichuan and nèijiā to his training soon enough. After a few years he was already assisting in classes and began black belt training.
He continued to train with his master to learn how to be a leader as well as instruct others.
After many years, he decided to “come down off the mountain” and follow the Dao’s path for his life. He then began transition towards that of a teacher and master. Dedicated to research of the Emei system and its current lineage holders he took it upon himself to explore, excavate mysteries of the past in order to reestablish ancient relics of kungfu to share with all who would learn from him. His founding of the White Monkey System is a reincarnation of Bai Yuan’s original studies along with White Cloud’s inclusion of Buddhist and Daoist teachings together.
After 17 years of martial experience his goal is to pass along the long secretive traditions to a new generation of students.
