I admire her for the patience and for adjusting to my level as a beginner. seldom people find teacher who has the proficiency to make hard lessons understandable and easier. more so I like her style developing a more open teacher-student relationship where I feel free asking questions and clarifications pertaining to matters no clear to me as a student I felt her passion to her craft. all in all I cannot question her credibility as a music teacher especially in the area of singing which happens to be my interest. I loved the manner she presented the lessons. she made them adaptable to the situations. It was really an experience having her for my music teacher. my perspective has changed. though I started on a very low note, she made the lessons so interesting to look and study at. here is hoping I would still have better chances learning especially the voice lessons and with her as my coach, then, I fervently believe it is possible."

I had been playing Guitar with zero musical training and zero knowledge of theory for about a year and a half prior to being taught by Francesca.
I've only been to lessons once a week for a few months and my dexterity as Well as my knowledge of theory has been vastly improved. The laid back environment coupled with Francesca's great communication skills make learning comfortable and easy. The experience is always focused on bettering your playing and you as a musician. Hristo is an impressionistic modern jazz guitarist and composer from Sofia, Bulgaria. Now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, Hristo leads a variety of modern jazz formations, ranging from duets to quintets. For Beginner students: we will start by exploring rhythm concepts and understanding how to read music. Learning the physics of the guitar and exploring the notes in the first few positions. Learning open position chords, and simple chords progressions, major and pentatonic scales,etc.
For Intermediate students: we will continue expanding our knowledge of the higher positions of the guitar, as well as develop better sight-reading skills. Bar cords and chord transposition, and music theory. Expanding our scalar vocabulary to modes, and minor scales. Learning arpeggios and classical etudes.
For Advance students: Close interval voicings, jazz improvisation, chord to scale relationships, and harmonic substitutions are some of the concepts we will cover. Learning solo guitar playing (chord melody), incorporating walking bass lines, transcription skill and arranging skills.

I am a very patient person who has huge passion about working with kids.I have been teaching piano over 15 years. Since I have been teaching a quite long time. I have had students who past the highest level of ABRSM exams. I can be more serious and push a student to get ahead, or simply teach to have fun - to appreciate and enjoy music. I knew Jessica would be the best choice after reading her About Me section... She has been my son's piano teacher since last year. We worked very well since then. My son loves play piano . She is very sweet and patient piano teacher I ever seen.

Hello! I have been teaching piano since 1982 when I finished my degree in piano performance. I also have a Doctorate in Piano Performance, and have an artist diploma from the Mozarteum Academy in Salzburg, Austria. However, I think what makes me special is that I combine a friendly approach to teaching with high standards. My students do well in competitive and non-competitive events. And, they have fun!

I started taking lessons from DeAnna about a month ago and I can really feel myself fall in love with learning to play Piano again. I am looking forward to practice every night and lessons every week with her. DeAnna is a very patient and encouraging teacher. I really like that her lessons are structured and she has very specific tasks (that are obtainable) for me to complete every week. I am really looking forward to taking many more lessons from her!

My daughter started taking piano lessons with DeAnna about a month ago. She has been really enjoying DeAnna's lessons and I can already hear that she has improved quite a bit. DeAnna is warm, caring, and patient. Her lessons have a good balance of technique and musicality. She gives very specific practice plans every week that are easy to follow. We are so glad we found her!

As a complete beginner, I really had no idea how to begin with piano. I'm so glad that I found DeAnna and have her as my piano teacher! She's really patient, knowledgeable and always makes sure the lesson is well organized. Before the first lesson, she sent me a list that needs to be prepared before first lesson. I could feel she must be very experienced at that time, and it turned out to be true in the following lessons!
She's a really good teacher. Not only her piano teaching skill is perfect, but also she treats her student very kindly and always smiles and encourages me. I appreciate her a lot, cuz she helps me to keep my learning enthusiasm, which makes me feel I can finally become an amateur pianist! Haha
I am a professional violin, fiddle, and viola instructor offering studio lessons for kids and adults. I teach out of locations in Palo Alto and San Jose. I have performed in orchestras, chamber music groups, bluegrass bands, and country bands, throughout the bay area. I have played violin since 1988 and taught since 2003. I hold a Bachelor of Music (violin performance) from San Francisco State University and an A.A. in Comprehensive Musicianship (music theory and performance) from De Anza College.

I took took violin lessons from Margaret for a few months. She is very good at explaining concepts and teaching technique. She helped me correct my technique from what I was taught by another teacher I was with briefly and that helped immensely. I highly recommend taking lessons with Margaret!
I have been playing and studying music in a variety of settings since 2008. I have performance experience with both classical ensembles and contemporary rock bands. This has given me experience in writing music, playing music, and ensemble management all within a wide range of musical styles.
I have been training people in various fields since 2013. I am currently a junior instructor at MTS Studios in Sunnyvale CA where I teach a variety of instruments, including guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano and ukulele.

Before taking lessons, I had picked up some chords and strumming patterns from the Internet. Over the 10 lessons with Andrew, I learned music theory fundamentals, how to practice the guitar on my own, how to pick out chords from any song, and even got to participate in group lessons. Even though I had to stop taking lessons because work got too busy, I learned a lot and now have a better idea how to improve my guitar skills.
