Kathleen G.

Blue Springs, MO

About Kathleen

For the last 40 plus years, I have taught children as young as 3 and adults as old as ahh they won't tell me! 'I have been participating in band and musical programs for over 30 years in the Kansas City Area. I am activity in a brass octet called the "Joyful Sound Brass Ensemble". We play at nursing home, churches, and other function in and around our area. I began my musical training when I was 5. I started on a small 12 bass accordion and loved it. I moved up to the full size accordions when I was 6 years old and it was as big as I was! I wanted to learn more, so my mom took pity on me and pulled out her alto saxophone for me when I was 8. My love of music grew more with each instrument I learned. With the help ...

Kathy is a wonderful teacher

My son is 9 and has been taking lessons with Kathy for about 5 months. We started him on lessons right after the instrument "try it" day the summer prior to him starting band. He went into the try it day wanting to play drums and ended up changing his mind to play flute! He didn't know anything about the flute or how to read music when he started and she had him going in not time. My wife and I are both band nerds and highly recommend Kathy for any instrument instruction needs. She has always been wonderful at meeting our son's needs and adjusting her lessons as needed to meet the needs of my son.

Tim T.

Blue Springs, MO

About Tim

My wife and I have been teaching piano lessons in the Kansas City area for more than 16 years. We have studios in our home; she teaches upstairs and I teach downstairs! I am currently accepting new students and welcome the opportunity to see them grow and experience the joy of piano playing. My full-time job is serving as the minister of music at a local suburban church. I work with all of the vocal and instrumental programs there and direct choirs and orchestra. While some of my piano students are also involved in church music, I also teach students in the entire Kansas City area and we cover every genre: classical, country, pop, rock and Broadway styles. I encourage each pianist to discover his or her own passion for playing! I have more than 30 years of experience teaching ...

Marci S.

Lenexa, KS

About Marci

Welcome to my studio! Here is a recent blurb about me: Marci began her classical piano studies at 8 years old, in the private studio of concert pianist Elaine de San Miguel. In addition to recitals, concerts, camps and master classes, Marci branched out into performing in a variety of venues, as an accompanist for vocalists, instrumentalists, choirs and musicals. When she wasn't playing the piano for people, she was taking voice lessons, singing in both traditional & show choirs, and performing in musical theater. Her favorite TV show is currently "Phineas & Ferb"! (Great music on that show, if you hadn't noticed!) Marci holds a teaching license in the state of Kansas, and is classified as "highly qualified" according to the No Child Left Behind Law. She is currently working on ...

Marci is fabulous with senior citizens!!!

I am 60 years old, retired, and have always wanted to take piano lessons. Our perfect grandson, Max, has been taking lessons with Marci for a couple of years, and his brother, our other perfect grandson, Gibson, will be starting soon. Their mom recommended Marci with no hesitation. I do the same!!

I am a different student for Marci than she is used to. She has the gift of a true teacher to be able to teach any age. (As a retired teacher of 35 years, I can attest to this professionally as well as personally!) She has the gift of dealing with any age and any ability.

I would recommend Marci with my whole heart and no hesitation whatsoever!!

Great Drum Instructor

Brad is currently working with me as a drum instructor. I had been working with another instructor for about 2 yrs when I realized it was time for change. Brad was a perfect fit when we met. Brad works with me once a week for anywhere from 1/2 to 1 hr depending on my needs. He has been so encouraging and supportive of everything I want to learn as well as what he feels I need to learn. My skills are improving everyday with the techniques he uses which fit me very well. I am very blessed to have him as my new drum instructor. He is very good at adapting to where you are and moving forward from there. I would recommend Brad to anyone who is ready to learn the drums no matter at what level you are currently playing.

Fantastic!

Brad worked with me as a drum teacher from the ages from 11-16. Brad encouraged me day by day at each lesson, the encouragement resulted in the constant addition of new skills and great competence, Brad encouraged me to play in many different styles and situations and provided opportunities that allowed me to stretch myself out of my comfort zone in many situations. In outside situations I was not required to "try out" due to my well-known skills. I would recommend Brad's teaching expertise to anyone interested in learning drums or continuing to expand their skills.
