About Michele

I am a passionate cellist and instructor who loves working with students of all ages and abilities and helping them discover a love for music as well. I graduated in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with a string emphasis, and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Cello Performance. My teachers include Jenna Dalbey of the Tetra String Quartet, Thomas Landschoot of the Sonoran Chamber Music Series, and Jonathan Ruck of the Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble. I have been playing cello for 14 years and during that time I accompanied a choir during a high school festiva

Renee M.

Blanchard, OK

About Renee

Hello, there! My name is Renee and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2014 and can teach beginning method, classical, and pop. I went to the University of Oklahoma and earned a degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting in 1995. I attended the University on a non-major's scholarship playing the clarinet and participated in the University of Oklahoma Marching Band.

I took piano lessons growing up for 9 years learning classical music and performed before the National Guild yearly for those 9 years. I was apart of the Oklahoma High-School A
ll-District and All-State Bands playing clarinet. Currently, I play piano and keyboards for my church. I'm a patient and fun person and I believe everyone learns at a different pace. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

***Lesson Details***I teach out of the Bastien Piano course, and others but am open to trying out any music books you may already have in your home. I do expect my students to purchase the books if taught online and to have the material I have given them for homework ready, completed, and practiced by the time we have our weekly lesson. I recommend at least twenty to thirty minutes of practice every day, and will give rewards for reaching goals and for performing well in our lessons. I love using songs that the student enjoys to make his or her music learning process fun.

*** Studio Equipment***
Upright piano or clarinet and metronome

***Travel Equipment***
I am willing to purchase books for students to be reimbursed. I expect students to provide a piano or keyboard, and a notebook for recording notes and assignments.
