Dan has been a great teacher thus far. He is patient and finds material that I find interesting while keeping me engaged during the lesson. He has helped me with some vocal tips as well! I really am getting my money's worth taking lessons with him. I would recommend Dan to any aspiring musician in need of lessons!

Consistent quality

Daniel continues to devise new ways to make learning music theory fascinating, and the mechanics of playing the piano fun. His encouraging nature minimizes the frustration of being a beginning student.

excellent instructor and a wonderful person

I have been taking music lessons with Daniel since April of 2013 and it has been a great learning experience.

I had no musical background and I started learning Saxophone with Daniel and 7 months later, I am able to play popular songs that he chooses to fit best for enhancing learning curve. He does a great job with reinforcing correct habits from the very beginning and has been very encouraging and has highlighted improvement as we go from class to class. As music learning can be frustratingly slow, the feedback and reassurance he provides definitely helps in keep going back for more.

I wanted to learn guitar and piano with him as well, he encouraged to learn only Piano (for enhancing learning curve for musical theory concepts) and hold guitar for later. Which speaks about how he is genuinely concerned about your learning of music with sound reasoning. So now I take guitar and Piano lessons with him. He is very patient, polite and professional. He is great with students of all ages and easily modifies teaching style as per student needs.

Besides all that he is a great person to talk to. Numerous times we have had great discussions about things outside music.

I would highly recommend Daniel for music lessons to everyone.

Working with Leah is the best. We hired her to do a staff training and the team raved about it. She gives all kinds of verbal and nonverbal cues throughout the class, as well as both easy and advanced move modifications so that students can tailor the workout to their level. She believes workouts should only be done if they're fun and she brings the fun! Her class is guaranteed to give you an amazing, high-energy workout. She even dressed according to our 80s theme and did an excellent job at picking music that we loved. She also did a great job at adjusting her teaching for a group of about 20. I could not more highly recommend Leah!

Leah is a tremendous instructor! Her class was my first introduction to Zumba and I could not have asked for a better instructor. She is high energy, motivational and patient. Leah is particularly adept at teaching to all skill levels simultaneously. Her classes are so fun that you hardly realize how much actual work you're doing. I would absolutely recommend her without reservation.

So I took my first ever Zumba class with the lovely Leah and it was everything I hoped for and more. Leah has a very fun and energetic personality and I think that is what really got me through my first Zumba class. **Also, should be noted that the songs Leah picked out were all very upbeat (because duh it's Zumba) but in particular her selection of songs were "so choice" it really made the class go by fast! If you want an awesome workout or just need a little dose of sunshine Leah is your instructor!
Darcy C. Chicago, IL

I teach ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop at Kaleidoscope Dance Center in Evanston, and ballet and tap to adults at Glenwood Dance Studio in Rogers Park. I previously created the curricula and taught ballet at the Robert Crown Center in Evanston, and before that I taught at the Batavia Academy of Dance.

I have been dancing for 20 years and teaching dance for several. I love to teach beginners--whether age 2, 6, or 66. I also teach and choreograph for intermediate and advanced dancers.

I grew up training seriously in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, and lyrical primarily at the School of Performing Arts in Naperville, IL, where I danced with their performing and competing ensemble for seven years, and Ballet Legere in River Forest, IL, where I performed in the Nutcracker for five years.
