About Zelda S.

Zelda has been teaching private lessons for over 12 years and is currently available to teach weekly voice, performance and music lessons online and at her home studio in Nashville, TN, USA. She provides a dynamic, student-structured training curriculum for voice, singing, confident speaking, accent reduction, conversational and professional English and Speech, ear training, performing, ukulele, bass and songwriting. She shares her passion for creativity and lifelong learning. Her lessons are refreshingly different - centering on the individual student and their unique needs and has helped many students improve their abilities for professional communications, performance, auditions, media and workplace interviews, presentations and events, competitions, working in a team, joining and playing in a band, creating a dynamic set list, recording audio and video and a lot more. HOW ZELDA'S LESSONS ARE STRUCTURED Zelda's coaching is student-centered. Lesson ONE is where you discuss your goals and then your voice is measured for both the coach and student to clearly see the baseline of where you are now so that the progress you are making each week is clearly seen and heard. Then in the following lessons the foundational voice tools are introduced, explained and demonstrated, which you then practice yourself and then show what you've learned by demonstrating your understanding and ability to use the new tool. You then apply all the tools you are learning one by one to the material and projects so that you can master each tool and technique in real-life application. You are given homework to help you progress even faster and your success is monitored so you can see how far you've come. Students love this super-organized and systematic approach to learning to master using their voice because they can easily see their breakthroughs, successes and progress each lesson. Working with Zelda has shaped me as an artist in every way! I anticipated on merely learning to sing well, and how to home in on the aspects of my voice that make it unique. However, I have received so much more than that. I have learned how to create melodies, and build momentum throughout a song using the vocal techniques we practice throughout my lessons, and how to dissect the structure of some of my favorite songs, to build understanding as to why they are written the way they are. This has not only opened my mind, and heart, but most importantly my voice to a whole new world of musical possibilities and understanding.

Zelda started my lesson with the very basics, which I told her I really needed to avoid my getting frustrated (as I had when I originally tried to learn the ukulele all on my own). She taught me the names of the different parts of the ukulele and how to hold my instrument. Zelda also helped me properly tune my ukulele, taught me a mnemonic phrase to remember the names of the strings and taught me finger placement for my first two chords . . . all in a half hour lesson. Now I’ll practice strumming and changing between these two chords until it becomes more natural for me and we meet again for next week’s lesson!

Who better to talk about Stress Management coaching with Zelda than someone who has experienced it first hand themselves. "Zelda was like shining a light in a dark corner, bringing things to the forefront and helping me understand myself better. I'd certainly recommend Zelda as a trusted guide leading me through the process. I liked the interactive approach. process, the writing -the different activity - the charts, drawings, timelines, I looked forward to seeing each week what was new and different in the activities. It's helped me understand my beliefs that don'' serve me, helped me put words to beliefs that I couldn't find words for, helped me feel safe, help me create the emotional life that was calm and at peace. It addressed my compromising beliefs that kept me stuck.  took me to a place of more power. This was amazing - thank you so much. I'd recommend Zelda's coaching to others if you are ready to look inside yourself and participate and find new beliefs that serve you in growth."
