Picking up a guitar for the first time (or the first time in a while!) can be very exciting! My hope is that with the help of some lessons you can enjoy playing guitar so much that you never want to put it down. This is why I like to keep lessons laid back and flexible. Lessons are tailored for each student to make sure everyone can have the best experience possible. Your goals are extremely important when it comes to lessons because everyone has different goals.

What are your goals for taking lessons? It could be learning to play your favorite songs, learning to solo, how to write your own songs, advice for playing live or in a recording studio, how to get the sounds of your favorite guitar players. The list could go on and on. Whatever your goals might be, I want to help you achieve them! I love most styles of music and I’m happy to teach most genres but some of my favorites are rock, alternative, blues, pop, and funk.

About Zack S.

I play guitar and write music in a band called Rosewood Coast, and I’m employed as a Contemporary Band Leader at a church in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have experience playing acoustic and electric guitar, bass, drums, piano, and singing. I have at least a little experience in teaching each instrument through my Band Leader job, but the main instrument I teach is guitar (acoustic, electric, & bass).
I have experience playing on stages both large and small, on TV, and I’ve recorded in some of the most well-known studios in the country with Grammy nominated and award winning engineers and producers.
I’m very easy going so if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!

Broadcast Music Inc. was founded in 1939 by forward-thinkers who wanted to represent songwriters in emerging genres, like jazz, blues and country, and protect the public performances of their music. Operating on a non-profit-making basis, BMI is now the largest music rights organization in the U.S. and is still nurturing new talent and new music.
