I’ve played guitar more than anything else I’ve done in my life. I’m 23 now, and I began playing at age 6 when I learned She Loves You by The Beatles. When I was 18, I listened to Keith Jarrett’s Köln Concert and immediately began playing piano. I graduated from DePaul’s Music School in Chicago where I studied piano, guitar, and music composition. During my time in Chicago, I organized over 50 multi-disciplinary art shows that included music of all kinds. I also played in musical groups of varying genres such as blues, classical, funk, folk, RnB, and gospel. I now teach lessons in guitar, bass, piano, ukulele, music theory, music analysis, and music composition. I’ve taught private lessons for 4 years now to students of all ages. I began teaching by referral at students houses and eventually started working at Guitar Center and School of Rock Chicago as an instructor. I then graduated from DePaul and moved to Alaska. I currently live in Juneau and work as a semi-professional musician through the creative directory, Catmandu. Lessons with me include a customized lesson plan that is entirely oriented around the student's goals. We can hone in on one instrument or we can combine multiple subjects into the lessons for no extra fee. If you're a first time musician, we'll cover the basics and move on to some melodies real quickly. Learn a few melodies and the rest will be history, trust me.
