Music has been the love of my life for as long as I can remember. I believe it has the power to move people. I've been playing drums and percussion for 10 years and have received training from a number of professionals, such as Clyde Connor and Scott Wilson at the University of Florida, where I also studied Music Education. During my tenure at UF, I was the drummer for the Big Band, Jazz combo, and the symphonic band.
Currently, I am a drummer, percussionist, guitarist, pianist, and vocalist. I am more than willing and able to teach students on any of these instruments regardless of your level of experience. For several years I played in many venues around the North Central Florida area with various bands whose genres included jazz, funk, country, rock, and soul. I have also had many years of experience playing for contemporary Christian music services.
I am very friendly and flexible to the needs of the student, while making music fun and educational.
During my time here I was able to teach many students ranging in age from 7-63! I taught both guitar and drums to students of both beginner and intermediate experience levels.
Leading worship from the drum set was my responsibility while performing with this church. I was the drummer on call at first to cover for those that needed substitutes, until quickly becoming a highly sought drummer for not only this organization but many like it in Alachua county.+ Read More
This was the band that introduced me to the honky-tonk circuit of North Central Florida and surrounding areas. I sharpened my chops and grew my wisdom as a performer playing night after night in countless venues for sometimes three hours at a time.
During my time with this band I was full time drummer as well as responsible for DJ duty between sets at select shows. I traveled more extensively throughout Florida with this band and even ventured into South Georgia.
Zach is skilled with all age levels!
Zachary is a talented musician and a great teacher. He is a patient instructor, and he obviously loves music. Highly recommended!
