Drums with Zach E.

I have been a student and teacher of drums and percussion for several years. I began my teaching in Detroit, MI before moving to NYC to pursue playing drums as a full-time profession. I enjoy working with students of all ages, in addition to special needs students. My brother is deaf and autistic, and I've found that by teaching him how to play drums, his life and mine have become more enriched. As a drummer for the Blue Man Group in New York City I have unique expertise in the world of musical theater. In addition, I am in a band called Oceanographer that relies on the talents of some of the best musicians I've ever worked with, including Mark Kelley (bassist of The Roots). Currently, I am available to teach from my studio in Williamsburg or at your home, or destination of choice. My coursework is designed to teach the basics of reading, sticking, posture, athleticism, and most of all, having fun!!
