We will work together to learn and understand the fundamentals of piano and violin technique and theory at you own pace. No pressure and stress-free instruction. Along with learning to play an instrument, research shows that you may have improvements in memory, language skills, ability to store audio information, discipline, ability for being attentive and planning, day to day actions such as being alert, motor skills, hearing, emotional perception (pick out exactly what others are feeling just by the tone of their voices; empathy, disappointment, etc.) Music has always been a part of my education since my elementary school years. I continued private training throughout college, as well as after. I have my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Houston - Clear Lake, as well as my Life Coaching certification from The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. And I am always continuing to develop my skills to connect well with all my students. Our time together is more than just about learning an instrument; it's about life improvements and developing the self! I will encourage you, cheer you on, and support you in the way you need support to achieve your goals in piano and violin! *** Lesson Details *** Our time together will be relaxed, laid back and casual. Student focused instruction. We will work on the essentials of playing the piano and/or violin - from correct posture to reading music! After 3 months you will definitely have a good foundation in order to continue forward on your musical journey. *** Travel Equipment *** I would expect my students to have a piano/keyboard and/or a violin with bow. *** Specialties *** My primary instrument is the piano, beginning to intermediate. I also teach beginner to intermediate violin using the Suzuki method books.
