Mandarin Chinese with Yuqi L.

Hello, I’m Yuqi (Lisa). I was born in Beijing, China, and came to the United States in 2012. I attended BYU Idaho and earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Family and Marriage Studies. My passion for education, multicultural experiences, and international relationships inspired me to create Chinese Journey with Ms. L, a private tutoring and academic/cultural learning program for students of all ages and experience levels. Since 2017, Chinese Journey with Ms. L has served 20 families across Utah. 90% of our new business is referral based and we have 100 % client retention. I am certified with CTCSOL to teach Mandarin Chinese. The majority of my students see significant progress within the first 12 weeks of the program. I work closely with the charter and public schools in Utah to help teachers, parents and students prepare for AP exams, college applications, and overall academic success. Teaching Chinese language and culture to my students and other clients is fulfilling for so many reasons. I feel proud to share my international experiences with others while enriching their lives, helping them accomplish their personal goals, and making progress both academically and professionally.
