Clarinet with Yuen Yee R.

Mrs. Richardson is a full time private music teacher and an active performer in the Chicago. Originally grew up in Hong Kong, Yuen Yee studied Clarinet and Piano at Hong Kong Baptist University with John Schertle and Genevieve Wong, graduates of The Julliard School, USA. In 2010, Yuen Yee moved to Chicago to further her musical studies. She recently earned a Master's degree in Music Performance from Roosevelt University where she studied Clarinet performance with Carol Lee Smith. After graduated from Roosevelt University, Yuen Yee performed with Chamber Opera Chicago, Chicago Clarinet Ensemble and at Open House Chicago. Besides performing, Yuen Yee is passionate in music education. She has been a music teacher since 2007 and has taught hundreds of students from age 3 to adult in both private, group and classroom settings. She was invited to teach at many public schools and music studios in both Hong Kong and Chicago. Currently, Yuen Yee is primarily teaching at students' homes in Chicago city area as well as local music schools.
