I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. I graduated with a degree in Japanese and English literature. After I graduated college, I went to take TESOL(Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate. Since then, I have spent several years teaching English, Korean and Japanese and being a supervisor to several other teachers. I'm currently taking "Early Childhood Education" classes at college, and I've been working at a Early Childhood center for 1st and 2nd grade.
I have an outgoing type of personality, and enjoy teaching others to improve their knowledge of either Japanese, Korean or the English language. I also enjoy doing yoga, cooking, traveling, staying active, hiking, and also enjoy trying new things.
I like to help people learn languages faster in a fun way. So I use many different materials to boost learning faster. With my my extensive knowledge of the Korean and Japanese language, and Korean and Japanese culture I will be able to teach you anything and everything about Korea and Japan. I look forward to teaching you and to help you learn and improve on your goals.
Ms. Young Ju is very nice and helped me learn the Korean alphabet in less than an hour she is a very nice teacher and i would love to learn more.
Young Ju is very patient and structures lessons well. She makes sure you understand something before moving on. She takes the time to get to know you personally too. Great instructor!
Excellent instructor! Young-Ju has a very solid approach that teaches new material without being overwhelming, reviews content without redundancy, and integrates native conversation for an immersive experience. I studied Japanese for years so I also really appreciate that she can relate new Korean vocabulary and expressions to already familiar Japanese equivalents. She's patient and easy to talk to, qualities you should definitely set as priority while searching out an instructor.+ Read More
Sorry I meant to give Young Ju 5 stars! My mistake,,, I had to come back and fix this to let others know she is really the best~
I am new to takelessons, so I was a bit worried, and nervous, but Young Ju made me feel comfotable! She was patient and that is exactly what I was looking for, someone that has the ability to teach in a calm and relaxed way. I am looking foward to my next lesson.+ Read More
My experience was amazing! Young-Ju is very patient and makes sure you understand everything before moving on. It's only been my first lesson and I can already tell I will learn a lot! :)
Fantastic instructor! Had some technical problems going into the lesson which kinda deterred. But Ms. Young-Ju made the lesson very interesting. I am a complete beginner but she was always patient with me and we had many good laughs. Looking forward to plenty more!+ Read More
My lessons with Ms. Young-Ju are/were amazing! She actually takes the time to teach and make sure you understand what the lesson is about and what is going on. There is also a good flow of communication, no stiffness or awkwardness. And most importantly, the lesson actually feels like a lesson and not as though I'm simply being read a dictionary or reading a book.
A great instructor and I highly recommend her.
