    About Yoban Q.

I have been in music since I can remember. It has helped me to become not only a better musician, but a better human being. I love playing, singing, and being on stage. However, I have grown to prefer teaching above all. The feeling I get when I see my pupils development can not be compare to anything else. moreover, In my 15-years of teaching experience, I've seen time after time that in a student-teacher relationship, We both learn tremendously not only about music, but about life itself. I strongly believe that every person has talent for music, and It is in the teacher's hand to cultivate it. A little bit about my personal background: I grow up in a musical family from which 5 of us decided to become professional musicians. At the age of 7, I was already singing and playing popular music, and only until my teen years I decided to study classical music. This is why I have always been within the two worlds; Classical and Pop. as a result, I feel very competent performing and teaching music from Bach to Cold Play. *** Lesson Details *** I am a laid back teacher and I believe each student should learn in their own way how to play music. I am not a follower of specific methods. Each student represents for me a brand new way of teaching and learning. Whether you or your child prefer to learn just by imitation (by ear), or by learning how to read music, I will focus in the way each person absorbs information. (Visual, auditory, kinesthetic). I will go with your own rhythm for learning, music should be fun and should never be a source of stress. *** Studio Equipment *** studio office w/ seating for parents with a practice mirror *** Travel Equipment *** their own instrument. *** Specialties *** Classical and Jazz guitar
