I studied vocal performance at the University of Delaware, and have been teaching ever since I received my bachelor's degree in 2010. My goal is to help my students find their passion for music and learn to make music something they truly care about. My students have gone on to win talent shows, battle of the bands, gotten into competitive choirs, received leads in their school plays, and even move on to become music teachers themselves. I push my students to find what it is about music that drives their passion and use that as the focal point for directing their learning and growth. I prefer to be flexible in working with my students in order to make sure that they are getting what THEY want out of music and that they are not simply jumping through hoops I create for them. I thoroughly believe that music should first and foremost be fun, shaping exercises and lessons through the filter of your own musical tastes.
