Trombone with Willie B.

I am a professional low brass musician (euphonium, trombone, bass trombone). I enlisted in the US Navy in 2005 and since then I have performed all over the world in places like England, Germany, Morrocco, Ghana, Bermuda, Mexico, and across the US. I have studied with Pete DuBeau (principle tubist, Virginia Symphony), Ross Whitlock (US Army, retired). Additional studies with Brian Bowman (University of North Texas), and Roger Behrend (George Mason University, and former principle euphonium, US Navy Band). I believe that music should be enjoyed not only by the listener, but by the performer as well. I practice because I want to and not because I have to. In my opinion, as a teacher, there is nothing that brings a smile to my face quicker than to see a student finally play an excerpt or piece of music that has frustrated him or her for a while. As a musician, nothing makes me happier than to hear a piece of music played the way it was intended. I don't like to lose auditions, but my goal for you is that if I must lose, it should be to you. I feel that every teacher should want their students to surpass them, much like a parent wanting their child to be more successful.
