I have performed professionally at Disneyland, was former musical director for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and have toured professionally with many groups; including Phil Wilson's Rainbow Band and the AlcoSKAlics. Teaching has been a passion of mine since the mid-90's. I have taught students that were as young as 5 years old to 80 years old. I can teach and play a variety of instruments, including: keyboards, bass, drums, Latin percussion, brass instruments and acoustic guitar. I also teach composition, arranging, and conducting. Many of my former students have gone on to become professional musicians, teachers, and recording artists. *** Lesson Details *** Within the first few months we will focus on basics. We will be covering reading, technique, and music theory. After that we will focus on the direction you want to take, going more into depth on style(s) that you want to study, with regards to developing skills that we covered in the first three months. The overall plan is to set reasonable goals to efficiently study music so we can achieve our primary goal: to make music we can all enjoy! *** Studio Equipment *** piano, electric bass, acoustic guitar, living room w/ seating for parents *** Travel Equipment *** I provide all the equipment I need, all the student will need is an instrument and an open mind. *** Specialties *** Although I have studied many styles, my specialty is in jazz music.
