I have been teaching for over 20 years in a wide variety of disciplines. I began my teaching career as a scuba instructor and have taught acting and improvisation professionally in New York City for ten years. As an actor I have been the resident teaching artist at dozens of NYC schools and helped write curriculum for the DELLTA program (developing English language learning through the arts).
Professionally I have made a living from acting (both theatre and film), stand up comedy, improvisation, freelance writing, even being a United States Marine. For the past 7 years I have been teaching children and adults with autism as an ABA therapist.
I offer a very broad range of experience not only with the disciplines I have taught but with the exceptional variety of people I have had the privilege of working with.
Performed and taught improv of many different formats- Theatersports, long form and short form as well as the theory and structure of successful improvisation.
Improviser with SAK Lab Rats and B ensemble.
Will was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond helping me with my routine and suggestions for feeling comfortable and getting ready. I would definitely use him again if needed.
Will has a great way of guiding the team to not only work together but dial in what's working and phase out what's not. He's patient, encouraging, and most importantly honest. It's clear he loves the form and working with others to find what works for their team.+ Read More
Will and I performed and taught together for years in NYC. He is the best! He really focuses on spontaneity and supporting his partner. When you work with him, you won’t have to worry about being funny or clever. He will help you learn to improvise in your own unique way.+ Read More
Will was an outstanding member of our NYC company. His imagination, vibrancy, generosity and goofy sense of humor make him fantastic to work with. Will also taught with us in public schools, where his thoughtful feedback and unfailing support made him one of our best teachers. He has our highest recommendation.+ Read More
Will is one of the best improvisers I've ever had the chance to work with and learn from! He is super energetic, in-tune with his students, and his work is quite dynamic. I love his kinetic and playful style! Not only will you have fun in his class, but you will certainly get a new perspective, and feel totally supported all the way through.+ Read More
Will is awesome! Very patient , knowledgeable, encouraging, and entertaining! I felt very at ease and comfortable with him during our lessons, as improv is something new for me. He really knows his stuff!
Will is one of the most creative quick thinking people I know. I consider myself a comic who missed a calling and now that I've been trying to regain a piece of myself back in middle life I am happy to have Will around. He challenges you to be your best and is the kind of person you could also come in front of. This for can read people and knows how to make your skill work for you. If he tried to make be like fun we'd both be starving artists (que gong)!
Seriously get to know this dude!
