I'm a graduate from Berklee College of Music where I studied Music Performance (for Drum Set) and Music Education. I've studied under great teachers including Rod Morgenstein, Henrique De Almeida, Jackie Santos, Steve Wilkes, and the list goes on. I also have experience performing in a wide variety of contexts and genres. In your lessons with me I will help you to achieve any musical goals you have as well as to take your current skills up to the next level and beyond. I have a wealth of knowledge about music theory and teaching methodology, as well as experience in execution of these skills. Your lessons with me will be fun as well as informative, and if you are willing to put in the work I can guarantee you will make progress as my student. *** Lesson Details *** I'm an easy-going guy, so I won't push you very hard unless you want me too. My lessons will focus on achieving your goals. If you want to master your instrument in general, we will focus on theoretical concepts and technique. If you are looking for a fun time and just trying to learn a few songs, I will help you to do that as well. Regardless of your learning goals, I will strive to make my lessons entertaining as well as informative, and together we will make rapid progress if you're willing to put in some work! Excepting students of all ages and all levels in and around the greater Twin Cities area. *** Travel Equipment *** Students must provide their own instruments and have something available to take notes with, but I will provide materials and anything else that is needed. *** Specialties *** I specialize in Drum Set, all genres, but my strongest ones are Rock, Jazz, and Latin styles. I can teach lessons through advanced levels on drums of all sorts and percussion. I can teach or tutor Music Theory to a very high level as well. I am also proficient enough to teach beginner-intermediate piano.
