I teach guitar, drums and vocals to an array of students ranging from 10 to 60. Not only do I teach but I also write songs for certain students who have a desire to perform their own music as well as learning and honing their craft on their instrument. I am currently helping a vocal student of mine write some songs after scales and warm-ups and am working with one of my top guitar students tomorrow on different scale techniques. I just placed a drum student in the finals in Alternative Press Magazine's Hit Like A Girl competition. She was the top vote getter with 1,026 votes and is in the top 10 under 18 drummers in the world. I am also working with more and more students on songwriting and showing them different chords and ways to go about writing a song. I would love to get started with you as soon as possible and we will get you where you want to be musically. I find that if a student has a particular song or a rhythm pattern they want to learn they learn more quickly. They're learning and having fun at the same time. We will find what you want to learn and we will get it down! Furthermore, it's your choice if you would rather come to my place as a lot of my students do or have me come to your place as a lot of them do. I look forward to speaking with you! Cheers!

I will get you started depending on your skill level. I usually, of course, see where we're at there and then decide what needs to be taught. With each respective student I usually make them a CDR the lessons for you so you can take them home and improve on what we've worked on.

I love working at Joy Of Music School. It has been a wonderful experience. I just graduated Raven Powell from the school she was one of my best students ever and we are going to continue to work together even though she has graduated from the school. Waiting for more students for the fall!+ Read More

Will was everything I expected. I was looking for someone to teach naturally as opposed to rote (boring) learning. I'm sure Will can do rote but he did what I asked.
He really knows his music and can teach in a way that gets my son directly into actually playing music, which is exactly what I was after.
He’s really flexible and can take anything and turn it into something good.
The pace was spot-on, matching perfectly the maximum my son could understand at the time.
I think my son learnt the absolute maximum he could in that short space of time and he learned a LOT.
things are going well.....Will is a very helpfull and agreeable teacher....am considering more lessons in the future....but i don't like this company's auto renewing me for lessons...but...that ain't Wills fault....i look forward to seeing his Studio in Action!.....that's the next lesson.....+ Read More
it went very well....i'd give 4.5 or 5 stars but i'm going to wait and see how it goes...i dont give perfect scores for anything so easy....seems to be a very well rounded instructor which fits into my plans of going over a wide range of subjects besides singing.....I'm just going to take five lessons as an overview of musicianship as thats all my budget allows....+ Read More
Great first guitar lesson! Jamming right off the bat!
Will is an outstanding Music Teacher! He really knows his stuff and has excellent communication skills. One of the best teachers I have seen in any field! Brad
Will is a great instructor. Highly recommend.
good first lesson!
Will was amazing. My son had so much fun and can't wait for next week.
Jackson loved Will.. He walked out and is super excited!
In ten minutes will was able to explain to me a concept to me that I hadn't grasped after 4 other instructors.
He's the man and I recommend him.
Relaxed, patient. Right to the point. Definitely beats rockband or guitar hero.
The first lesson was great and I like my instructor because he is knowledgeable. I made a great decision to learn how to play guitar with takelessons.
Very informative. Great approach. Phenominal focus on what I wanted out of the lessons. 10/10
Will is the man
VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE IT
Will has been excellent in showing me the fun of music, from the very first lesson.
He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and is able to communicate it in an effective manner.
He has always been prompt and prepared for our weekly sessions.
