My name is Will Arrett and here is some information you may find interesting about me:
I am a recent college graduate and world traveler! I attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison and graduated in 2016, earning bachelor's degrees in Conservation Biology and Philosophy. I had the opportunity to take part in research in both fields and even had the privilege of studying tropical ecology and conservation in Ecuador! While there I completed research in the Amazon Rainforest and the Galapagos Islands. I also completed a marine conservation internship where I helped protect sea turtle and shark populations.
With a sense of adventure that was awakened in Ecuador, after graduation two friends and I decided to take on Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. We learned a lot about these wonderful cultures for three months and then spent a fourth month completing a marine conservation internship on a Thai island called Koh Tao. Here we helped manage an artificial coral reef and did our best to protect the coral reefs around the island.
Now I'm back on the island completing my Dive Master Training program to become a dive professional and I am applying to Master's programs to continue my education in Marine Biology.
I have learned a lot about myself and the world on my adventures and one of the best and most serendipitous realizations I've had is how much I love to teach. I love understanding interesting things and helping other people do the same is a great privilege. So whether you are struggling with a particular subject matter or are just looking for a more personalized approach to teaching, I really hope we can work together and make your goals a reality!
