ACT with Wes M.

I am trained in philosophy (B.A., University of North Texas, and M.A., Biola University) and have been teaching/tutoring for over five years in math, reading, writing, SAT/ACT, and critical thinking/problem solving. I have taught a wide range of ages, from elementary to graduate students, and in classrooms of 100+ students to one-on-one lessons. Ultimately, I love to learn and teach, and I have a passion for helping others achieve their goals. My students can expect to learn to think well about the subject we study together. We will not simply pursue the knowledge of how to, for example, solve some math problem, but we will also seek to understand why we can solve it this or that way. So, we will pursue both knowledge and understanding. When students have understanding, they are much better prepared to apply what they have learned to other similar problems. My students will learn to be creative, logical thinkers who can apply what they learn to their studies and beyond.
