Classical Piano with Wenting Y.

A dedicated soloist,chamber musician and pedagogue,chinese pianist Wenting made his solo debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall on December,2018 as the “Closing Gala of 2018 Mannes Sounds Festival”. In July 2019, he won the 2019 IKIF Scholarship Award International Piano Competition at 21th International Keyboard Institute & Festival in New York City. Wenting has also achieved numerous prizes including the winner of “2018 Ravel Special Prize”by the Foundation of Maurice Ravel,France, “2018 Mannes School of Music Piano Concerto Competition”, “Music Teachers National Association Competition Steinway 2016-2017 Annual Young Artist Award”,the National Champion at the “Fifth China National Piano Competition” in Xiamen,China,Second Prize at the “Liszt International Piano Competition for Young Pianists” in Moscow,Russia and many others. Most recently, Wenting has been appeared as soloist at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall,Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center,Steinway Hall NYC,the Frick Collection, the Metropolitan Club,the Union Club of NYC,Columbia University,Polish Consulate NYC,German Consulate NYC, Niskayuna Library of Schenectady,Stiefel Hall at Mannes,The New School’s Tishman Auditorium,Lang Recital Hall at Hunter College, the Aspen Festival Hall,the Palace of Fontainebleau in France. In May 2019, He graduated from Mannes School of Music of The New School where he earned his Master of Music Degree and under the tutelage of Pavlina Dokovska. He is recipient of the Steinway Award for outstanding artist in graduate program in 2019. He is currently a candidate of Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University studying with Vladimir Valjarevic as a scholarship and doctoral teaching fellowship recipient.
