I am a teacher with 20 years of experience, a world traveler, and host mom to exchange students who want to learn English. I am fascinated by interacting with people from other cultures all over the world. I earned a Master's degree in English Education from the University of Florida in 1998, and I have been teaching full-time since then. I have worked in online teaching since 2006, so I have lots of experience connecting with students through technology. I have taught every level of English from sixth grade through college. Most recently, I was an adjunct professor of writing (English) for an online university. I can help you with any level of English and any part of English speaking, reading, and writing. Whether you just want conversation practice with a native speaker, to prepare for an important test such as the TOEFL, or if you need to write in English at the business or professional level, I can help! I have both lived in a foreign country for a year and served as a host mom to students who have come to the United States to learn English. These experiences showed me the importance of learning to understand culture. One way I would like to help my students is to enrich our lessons with the opportunity to learn about culture, customs, and manners in the United States.
