I am a dynamic person with 20 years of experience in various jobs. I came from Shanghai, China, living and working around Almaden valley San Jose. I am a diligent, reliable person, and have a positive attitude no matter what I am doing. I am also a creative person, and I like to find different ways to prompt students’ imagination and curiosity. I am also very warmhearted and humorous which makes me easy to be accepted by different ages. I majored in art and design in college and earned the master's degree in design. I have been cultivating in drawing and painting since I was a teenager. I hope I can share my knowledge with others. I try to broaden students' point of view beyond the textbook through some extra materials. Now I work part time as a Chinese after school teacher. I am also the private Mandarin teacher of three families, and I have taught two of the families for more than one year. The students have made great progress under my instruction. Most of all, they become more interested in learning Chinese. As a native Chinese speaker, my pronunciation is standard. I accumulate extensive knowledge and firm foundation in classical Chinese literature. I can help with the practicing and correcting pronunciation. Besides, I also teach Chinese culture and background, or anything related to Chinese. At the same time, I also have the skill cooking hundreds of delicious Chinese dishes.
