Hi, I'm Wankun. I'm a student at Franklin High School. I always wanted to teach but I didn't have the opportunity and time. And finally! My senior year came and I turned 18 (that was a big day for me).
My whole life is filled with music. I started piano lessons since I was 5. After I moved to America (I was born in China) I had some violin lessons. In freshman year I joined school band. I'm still in band, playing flute in marching band and oboe in wind ensemble.
Music is an expression. It can be happy and light, or dramatical and full of sorrow. We need basic skills to approach a sound, but music is more than that. Music is when you give a sound a meaning, a feeling, and a heartbeat that makes it alive.
Different genre speaks and expresses differently. Personally I really enjoy indie (TØP!) and opera. But no matter what, all kinds of music are beautiful and it's the meaning that matters the most.
I look forward to teach you the basic skills and share my journey of exploring music with you!
When I first knew Wankun, I was amazed by her passion and talent in music. I know for sure that she is a great pianolist, violinist and a lot others. It is enjoyable and pleasing to hear beautiful rhythm coming out from her fingers. If you have the same passion and want to explore the splendid world of music, you should definitely take her classes!+ Read More
