I’m an experienced and enthusiastic guitar and music teacher in Los Angeles, CA.
I provide private 1-on-1 guitar lessons from Beginner to highly Advanced Level students.
You will become an excellent, inspired guitarist & musician in no time. One of the things I am known for in LA, is the amazing results all my students see.
Some of the reasons for these exceptional results include:
1) The personalized guitar curriculum is personalized to target your goals.
2) The teaching approach incorporates principles of super-study, psychology, music pedagogy, time management and neuroscience to achieve maximum results in the least amount of time with the least amount of effort.
3) You will be guided in how to practice for max results.
Your fast progress is what makes learning an instrument all the more fun. That faster progress is also a huge money saver because you get more and better results for your money.
Think about it, which would you enjoy more: that you can impress your family and friends (and yourself) with your guitar playing RIGHT NOW, or... a year from now? :)
Lessons are fun, up-tempo, with lots of information, conveyed in a very efficient and relaxed way. You will have weekly, well thought-off, fun exercises. The teaching plan is modified to tailor to YOUR specific musical needs and goals.
I started playing guitar when I was 16.
I've been playing over 30 years now.
Started teaching my first students after 6 years of playing.
In other words: I have 25 years of teaching experience under my belt.
Being that I'm one of the top guitar & music coaches in Los Angeles: I have been teaching on average minimum 40 people (all 1-hour private instruction) a week, which adds up to +2000 hours a year, adding up to +50,000 hours of teaching in past 25 years.
I hold 3 Degrees in guitar performance and music/recording engineering, all Summa Cum Laude.
Classical Guitar Performance, Composition and Counterpoint (Academy of Music & Word, Belgium)
(Jazz) Performance (Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA)
Music Production & Engineering (Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA)
I finished 15 years of music education (10-year classical program in Belgium and a 5-year dual-major in Berklee) in 10 years time.
My teaching approach uses the same principles that made it possible for me to graduate in so much shorter a time earning all my degrees Summa Cum Laude.
There is another fun upside to learning with a teacher who has the experience to make you progress much more quickly.
You will have much more fun with guitar than you'd have with most other instructors. After all: part of the fun of learning an instrument is having that cool feeling of achievement that kicks in when you see really good progress day after day.
You will have dedicated, personalized, effective exercises (yes, you will have homework again..) that will help you reach your musical goals in no time.
You will have your lessons in a professional teaching studio.
Some of the services that set me apart:
1) The teaching studio has an iTunes library of over 50,000 MP3's
2) Instant access to any song or song chart you want to learn.
3) A very strong guitar and music curriculum, that is very organized, containing thousands of pages, covering everything there is to know about the study of scales, improvisation, music theory, chords, songwriting, and more.
3) Lessons can be video recorded. There is video set up and ready to go if you want a video.
4) If you can't make it to the studio at last moment's notice, you can always opt to have your lesson from the comfort of your home through webcam.
5) 24/7 customer support. You can email me anytime with questions and I get back to people quickly.
